sukeśā ca bhāradvājaḥ śaibyaś ca satyakāmaḥ sauryāyaṇī ca gārgyaḥ kausalyaś cāśvalāyano bhārgavo vaidarbhiḥ kabandhī kātyāyanas
te haite brahmaparā brahmaniṣṭhā paraṃ brahmānveṣamāṇā
eṣa ha vai tat sarvaṃ vakṣyatīti te ha samitpāṇayo bhagavantaṃ pippalādam upasannāḥ ||
سوكها اولاد بهردواج ستكام سورجاينى جوشل بيدرهى كبندهى
اين قدر ركهيشران برهم را بزرگ دانسته قصد اين كردند كه باو برسند و هميشه در او باشند
براى يافتن برهم پيروى كرده پيش پپّالد ركهيشر كه پّپل خورده ميگند رانيد بطریقى كه روش رفتن پيش استاد و آداب است رفتند كه اين بزرگ است و صاحب معرفت و همه دان است هرچه ما از اين خواهيم پرسيد اين بما خواهد گفت

sine τῷ (per) annum manducatu (nihil per annum manducatus) transire faciebat (vitam agebat), cum modo, quòd ratio τοῦ ire antè ostad (præceptorem) et civilitas est, iverunt: quòd (quia) hic magnus est, et dominus cognitionis, et omni-scius est; quidquid nos ab hic sumus petituri, hic cum nobis est dicturus.

these were devoted to Brahman, firm in Brahman, seeking for the Highest Brahman.
They thought that the venerable Pippalada could tell them all that, and they therefore took fuel in their hands (like pupils), and approached him.
sukeśā ca nāmataḥ, bharadvājasyāpatyaṃ bhāradvājaḥ, śaibyaś ca śiveḥ apatyaṃ śaibyaḥsatyakāmo nāmataḥ; sauryāyaṇī sūryas tasyāpatyaṃ sauryaḥ tasyāpatyaṃ sauryāyaṇiśachāndasaḥ sauryāyaṇīti, gārgyo gargagotrāpatyaṃ bhargavo vaidarbhiḥ vidarbhe bhavaḥ; kabandhī nāmataḥ, katyasyāpatyaṃ kātyāyanaḥ, vidyamāna prapitāmaho yasya saḥ, yuvapratyayaḥ / te haite brahmaparā aparaṃ brahma paratvena gatās tadanuṣṭhānaniṣṭhāś ca brahmaniṣṭhāḥ paraṃ brahmānveṣamāṇāḥ - kiṃ tat? yan nityaṃ vijñeyam iti
tatprāptyarthaṃ yathākāmaṃ yat iṣyāma ity evaṃ tadanveṣaṇaṃ kurvantas tadadhigamāyaiṣa ha vai tat sarvaṃ vakṣyatīty ācāryam upajagmuḥ | katham te ha samitpāṇayaḥ samidlāragṛhītahastāḥ santo bhagavantaṃ pippalādam ācāryam upāsannā upajagmuḥ //1//
