We observed that, in our own times, fish had been found on top of the highest peaks of the Libanus mountains.
Some men, who had gone there to cut out stones from the mountains for building, found various kinds of sea-fish, compacted into the mud in the hollows of the mountains.
The fish had survived until the present time, as if they had been artificially preserved, and the sight of them provided evidence to us that the ancient story was true.
