اپن شده در هر دو محل مخصوص كه راه بول و غائط است ميباشد
و در چشم و گوش و بينى و دهن پران خود مينا شد
و در ميان معده سامن شد مى ماند
و غذا را هضم كرده بهمه بدن برابر مير ساند
براى همين است نام او سمان چون آن غذا هضم شده با عضا ميرسد
هفت جا را قرت مى بخشد و روش مى سازد
هر در چشم و حر در عوش و حر دو سوراخ بينى و دهن
Apan factus, in duobus locis particularibus, quòd via urinæ et excrementi (solidi) est, sit (residet).
Et in oculo, et aure, et ore, [et] bini (naso), pran ipse sit (est).
Et in medio stomachi, saman factus apparet:
et alimentum (p. 141) ut coctum fecit, cum omni corpore (per omne corpus) æqualiter facit pervenire.
Propter ipsum hoc est nomen ejus saman. Et quando alimentum coctum factum, cum membris (ad membra) pervenit,
septem locis robur largitur, et lumen facit;
(qui sunt) ambo oculi et ambæ aures, et ambo faramoina nasi, et os.
5. The Apana (the down-breathing) in the organs of excretion and generation;
the Prana himself dwells in eye and ear, passing through mouth and nose.
In the middle is the Samana (the onbreathing);
it carries what has been sacrificed as food equally (over the body),
and the seven lights proceed from it.
