tasmai sa hovāca |
etad vai satyakāma paraṃ cāparaṃ ca brahma yad oṃkāraḥ |
tasmād vidvān etenaivāyatanenaikataram anveti ||
پپلاد گفت
اى ستكام پر برهم و اپر برهم يعنى مطلق و مقيّد همين اسم است
و داننده اين اسم و راه رونده باين اسم بمشغولى همين اسم از اين دو چيز كه مطلق با شد يا مقيّد يكى را مى يابد
و اين اسم سه و نيم ماترا دارد يعنى سه و نيم حرف دارد
Pilad dixit:
ô Satkam! Pra Brahm et Apra Brahm, id est, universale et ligatum (particulare), ipsum hoc nomen est.
Sciens hoc nomen, et viam iens cum hoc nomine, [cum] maschghouli ipsi huic nomini, ex his duabus rebus, quod universale sit vel ligatum (particulare), unam obtinet.
Et hoc nomen tria (3) (matra) et medietatem (τοῦ) matra habet; id est, tres (litteras) et dimidium litteræ, habet.
2. He replied:
‘O Satyakama, the syllable Om (AUM) is the highest and also the other Brahman;
therefore he who knows it arrives by the same means at one of the two.
