Vísburr tók arf eptir Vanlanda, fǫður sinn.  Hann gekk at eiga dóttur Auða ins auðga ok gaf henni at mundi þrjá stórbœi ok gullmen.

Visbur took his inheritance after his father Vanlandi;  he took to wife a daughter of Aud the Wealthy and gave her as a wedding gift three great estates and a gold necklace; they had two sons, Gisl and Andur.  Afterwards Visbur left her, and took another wlfe, but she went to her father with her sons.
Viſburr atti ſon oc (7) Domalde hét. Stiủpmoþir Domallda (8) lét ſiða at honom ogæfo.  Eɴ er ſynir (9) Viſburs váro xij. vetra oc xiii. fóro þeir (10) a fund hans oc heimto mund (11) moþor ſiɴar. eɴ hann villde eigi gialda. Vísburr átti son, er Dómaldi hét. Stjúpmóðir Dómalda lét síða at honum ógæfu.  En er synir Vísburs váru tólf vetra ok þrettán, fóru þeir á fund hans ok heimtu mund móður sinnar, en hann vildi eigi gjalda.  Þá mæltu þeir, at gullmenit skyldi verða at bana inum bezta manni í ætt hans, ok fóru í brot ok heim.  Þá var enn fengit at seið ok siðit til þess, at þeir skyldi mega drepa fǫður (31) sinn.  Þá sagði Hulð vǫlva þeim, at hon myndi svá síða ok þat með, at ættvíg skyldu ávallt vera í ætt þeira Ynglinga síðan. Þeir játtu því.  Eptir þat sǫmnuðu þeir liði ok kómu at Vísbur um nótt á óvart ok brendu hann inni.

After that Visbur had a son who was called Domaldi; Domaldi's stepmother had witchcraft worked to bring him ill-luck.  When Visbur's sons were twelve and thirteen years old they went to their father and craved their mother's wedding gift, but he would not give it up.  Then they foretold that the golden necklace should be the bane of the best man in his race, and thereupon they went off home.  Then again they had witchcraft worked, to the end that they should know how to kill their father.  The witch Huld told them that even so she would work the spell, and also that slaughter of their kin should always be with the race of the Ynglings; they agreed to it.  Thereafter they gathered folk together and unexpectedly came upon Visbur in the night and burned him inside his house.
