Rꜹgnvaldr hét ſonr Oláfs konongs er konongr (75,1) var a veſtfold eptir fꜹðor ſinn. hann var (2) callaðr heiðum hæʀi,  um hann orti þioðólfr (3) enn hvinverſki ynglinga tal. þar (4) ſegir hann ſva (5) 
Rǫgnvaldr hét sonr Óláfs, er konungr var á Vestfold eptir fǫður sinn. Hann var kallaðr heiðum-hæri.  Um hann orti Þjóðólfr inn hvinverski Ynglingatal. Þar segir hann svá: 
   
Rognvald heitte son til kong Olav, som var konge paa Vestfold etter far sin. Han vart kalla Heidum-hære.  Um honom dikta Tjodolv fraa Kvine Ynglinga-tal; der segjer han soleis: 
Kong Olavs søn hed Ragnvald, som var konge paa Vestfold efter sin fader; han blev kaldet «heidum-hære».  Om ham digtede Tjodolv den kvinverske Ynglinge-tal; der siger han saa: 
King Olav's son was named Ragnvald, who was king in Vestfold after his father; he was called 'the Glorious'.  About him has Tjodolv of Kvin edited the Ynglinga-tal; there he says: 
þat veit ec bazt (6)
ủnd blam himni (7)
keɴi nafn. (8)
ſva at konongr eigi (9)
er rꜹgnvaldr (10)
reiðar ſtiori (11)
heiðum hár (12)
of hæitủm deʀ

Aldri eg høyrde
under himilen blaa,
at konge bar
betre namn,
enn daa Rognvald,
ror-styraren,
«Heidum-hære»
heita fekk. 
Det ved jeg bedst
under blaa himmel
kjendinge-navn,
som en konge eier:
at Ragnvald,
ror-styreren,
den hæder-rige
nu mon hede. 
I know best
Under the blue heaven
The most famous name
Which a king owned,
That Ragnvald
The rudder-steerer
Is now called
'The Glorious'.
