10a ʾiḏ raʾā nāran
10b fa-qāla li-ʾahli-hī
10c mkuṯū
10d ʾin-nī ʾānastu nāran
10e laʿall-ī ʾatī-kum min-hā bi-qabasin
10f ʾaw ʾaǧidu ʿalā n-nāri hudan

When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10

當時，他看見一處火光，就對他的家屬說：「你們稍留一下，我確已看見一處火了，也許我拿一個火把來給你們，或許我在有火的那裡發現向導。」

فَلَمَّا أَتَاهَا نُودِيَ يَا مُوسَىٰ

11a fa-lammā ʾatā-hā
11b nūdiya
11b V yā-mūsā

And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11

他來到那個火的附近，就有聲音喊叫說：「穆薩啊！

إِنِّي أَنَا رَبُّكَ فَاخْلَعْ نَعْلَيْكَ إِنَّكَ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى

12a P ʾin-nī
12a ʾanā rabbu-ka
12b fa-ḫlaʿ naʿlay-ka
12c ʾinna-ka bi-l-wādi l-muqaddasi ṭuwan

Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord. So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12

我確是你的主，你脫掉你的鞋子吧，你確是在聖谷『杜瓦』中。

وَأَنَا اخْتَرْتُكَ فَاسْتَمِعْ لِمَا يُوحَىٰ

13a wa-ʾanā ḫtartu-ka
12b fa-stamiʿ li-mā yūḥā
14a P ʾinna-nī

And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13

我已挑選你，你應當傾聽啟示：

إِنَّنِي أَنَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدْنِي وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِذِكْرِي

14a ʾanā llāhu
14b lā ʾilāha ʾil-lā ʾanā
14c fa-ʿbud-nī
14d wa-ʾaqimi ṣ-ṣalāta li-ḏikr-ī

Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no God save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14

我確是真主，除我外，絕無應受崇拜者。你應當崇拜我，當為記念我而謹守拜功。

إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا لِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا تَسْعَىٰ

15a ʾinna s-sāʿata ʾātiyatun
15b ʾakādu ʾuḫfī-hā
15c li-tuǧzā kullu nafsin bi-mā tasʿā

Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15

復活時，確是要來臨的，我幾乎要隱藏它，以便每個人都因自己的行為而受報酬。

فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنْهَا مَن لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِهَا وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ فَتَرْدَىٰ

16a fa-lā yaṣuddanna-ka ʿan-hā man lā yuʾminu bi-hā wa-ttabaʿa hawā-hu
16b fa-tardā

Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16

不信復活時而順從私欲者，不要讓他阻止你信仰復活時，以致你滅亡。

وَمَا تِلْكَ بِيَمِينِكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ

17 wa-mā tilka bi-yamīni-ka
17 V yā-mūsā

And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17

穆薩啊！在你右手裡的是甚麼？」

قَالَ هِيَ عَصَايَ أَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِي وَلِيَ فِيهَا مَآرِبُ أُخْرَىٰ

18a qāla
18b hiya ʿaṣā-ya
18b R1 ʾatawakkaʾu ʿalay-hā
18b R2 wa-ʾahuššu bi-hā ʿalā ġanam-ī
18c wa-li-ya fī-hā maʾāribu ʾuḫrā

He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18

他說：「這是我的手杖，我拄著它，我用它把樹葉擊落下來給我的羊吃，我對於它還有別的許多需要。」

قَالَ أَلْقِهَا يَا مُوسَىٰ

19a qāla
19b ʾalqi-hā
19b V yā-mūsā

He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19

主說：「穆薩啊！你把它扔下。」

فَأَلْقَاهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ حَيَّةٌ تَسْعَىٰ

20a fa-ʾalqā-hā
20b fa-ʾiḏā hiya ḥayyatun
20b R tasʿā

So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20

他就把它扔下了，它忽然變成了一條婉蜒的蛇。

قَالَ خُذْهَا وَلَا تَخَفْ سَنُعِيدُهَا سِيرَتَهَا الْأُولَىٰ

21a qāla
21b ḫuḏ-hā
21c wa-lā taḫaf
21d sa-nuʿīdu-hā sīrata-hā l-ʾūlā

He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21

主說：「你捉住它，不要怕，我將使它還原。」

وَاضْمُمْ يَدَكَ إِلَىٰ جَنَاحِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوءٍ آيَةً أُخْرَىٰ

22a wa-ḍmum yada-ka ʾilā ǧanāḥi-ka
22b taḫruǧ bayḍāʾa min ġayri sūʾin
ʾāyatan ʾuḫrā

And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22

「你把手放在懷裡，然後抽出來，手變成雪白的，但是沒有甚麼疾病，那是另一種蹟象。

لِنُرِيَكَ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا الْكُبْرَى

23 li-nuriya-ka min ʾāyāti-nā l-kubrā

That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23

我指示你我的最大蹟象。

اذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ

24a ḏhab ʾilā firʿawna
24b ʾinna-hū ṭaġā

Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24

你去見法老，他確是暴虐無道的。」

قَالَ رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي

25a qāla
25b V rabb-i
25b šraḥ l-ī ṣadr-ī

(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25

他說：「我的主啊！求你使我的心情舒暢，

وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي

26a wa-yassir l-ī ʾamr-ī

And ease my task for me; 26

求你使我的事業順利，

وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي

27 wa-ḥlul ʿuqdatan min lisān-ī

And loose a knot from my tongue, 27

求你解除我的口吃，

يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

28 yafqahū qawl-ī

That they may understand my saying. 28

以便他們了解我的話。

وَاجْعَل لِّي وَزِيرًا مِّنْ أَهْلِي

29a wa-ǧʿal l-ī wazīran min ʾahl-ī

Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29

求你從我的家屬中為我任命一個助手——

هَارُونَ أَخِي

30 hārūna ʾaḫ-ī

Aaron, my brother. 30

我的哥哥哈倫——

اشْدُدْ بِهِ أَزْرِي

31 šdud bi-hī ʾazr-ī

Confirm my strength with him 31

讓他相助我，

وَأَشْرِكْهُ فِي أَمْرِي

32 wa-ʾašrik-hu fī ʾamr-ī

And let him share my task, 32

使他與我同事，

كَيْ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرًا

33 kay nusabbiḥa-ka kaṯīran

That we may glorify Thee much 33

以便我們多讚頌你，

وَنَذْكُرَكَ كَثِيرًا

34 wa-naḏkura-ka kaṯīran

And much remember Thee. 34

多記念你。

إِنَّكَ كُنتَ بِنَا بَصِيرًا

35 ʾinna-ka kunta bi-nā baṣīran

Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35

你確是明察我們的。」

قَالَ قَدْ أُوتِيتَ سُؤْلَكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ

36a qāla
36b qad ʾūtīta suʾla-ka
36b V yā-mūsā

He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36

主說：「穆薩啊！你所請求的事，已賞賜你了。」

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَيْكَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَىٰ

37 wa-la-qad manannā ʿalay-ka marratan ʾuḫrā

And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37

在別的時候，我曾照顧你。

إِذْ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ أُمِّكَ مَا يُوحَىٰ

38 ʾiḏ ʾawḥaynā ʾilā ʾummi-ka mā yūḥā

When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38

當時，我給你母親以應有的啟示，

أَنِ اقْذِفِيهِ فِي التَّابُوتِ فَاقْذِفِيهِ فِي الْيَمِّ فَلْيُلْقِهِ الْيَمُّ بِالسَّاحِلِ يَأْخُذْهُ عَدُوٌّ لِّي وَعَدُوٌّ لَّهُ وَأَلْقَيْتُ عَلَيْكَ مَحَبَّةً مِّنِّي وَلِتُصْنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيْنِي

39a ʾani qḏifī-hi fī t-tābūti
39b fa-qḏifī-hi fī l-yammi
39c fa-l-yulqi-hī l-yammu bi-s-sāḥili
39d yaʾḫuḏ-hu ʿadūwun l-ī wa-ʿadūwun la-hū
39e wa-ʾalqaytu ʿalay-ka maḥabbatan minn-ī
39f wa-li-tuṣnaʿa ʿalā ʿaynī

Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39

說：「你把他放在一個箱子裡，然後把那個箱子放在河裡，河水要把它漂到岸邊，而我的一個敵人——也是他的敵人——將收養他。」我把從我發出的慈愛賞賜你，以便你在我的監護之下受撫育。

إِذْ تَمْشِي أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُهُ فَرَجَعْنَاكَ إِلَىٰ أُمِّكَ كَيْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَاكَ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّاكَ فُتُونًا فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍ يَا مُوسَىٰ

40a ʾiḏ tamšī ʾuḫtu-ka
40b fa-taqūlu
40c hal ʾadullu-kum ʿalā man yakfulu-hū
40d fa-raǧaʿnā-ka ʾilā ʾummi-ka
40e kay taqarra ʿaynu-hā
40f wa-lā taḥzana
40g wa-qatalta nafsan
40h fa-naǧǧaynā-ka mina l-ġammi
40i wa-fatannā-ka futūnan
40j fa-labiṯta sinīna fī ʾahli madyana
40k ṯumma ǧiʾta ʿalā qadarin
40k V yā-mūsā

When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40

當時，你的姐姐走去說：「我指示你們一個養育他的人，好嗎？」我就把你送還你母親，以便她愉快而不憂愁。你曾殺了一個人，而我拯救你脫離憂患，我曾以許多折磨考驗你。你曾在麥德彥人之間逗留了許多年。穆薩啊！然後，你依前定而來到這裡。

وَاصْطَنَعْتُكَ لِنَفْسِي

41 wa-ṣṭanaʿtu-ka li-nafs-ī

And I have attached thee to Myself. 41

我為自己而挑選你。

اذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَأَخُوكَ بِآيَاتِي وَلَا تَنِيَا فِي ذِكْرِي

42a ḏhab ʾanta wa-ʾaḫū-ka bi-ʾayāt-ī
42b wa-lā taniyā fī ḏikr-ī

Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42

你和你的哥哥，帶著我的許多蹟象去吧！你倆對於記念我絕不可怠慢。

اذْهَبَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ

43a ḏhabā ʾilā firʿawna
43b ʾinna-hū ṭaġā

Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43

你倆到法老那裡去，他確是暴虐無道的。

فَقُولَا لَهُ قَوْلًا لَّيِّنًا لَّعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ

44a fa-qūlā la-hū qawlan layyinan
44b laʿalla-hū yataḏakkaru
44c ʾaw yaḫšā

And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44

你倆對他說話要溫和，或許他會記取教誨，或者有所畏懼。

قَالَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَا أَوْ أَن يَطْغَىٰ

45a qāla
45b V rabba-nā
45b ʾinna-nā naḫāfu
45c ʾan yafruṭa ʿalay-nā
45d ʾaw ʾan yaṭġā

They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45

他倆說：「我們的主啊！我們的確怕他粗暴地傷害我們，或更加暴虐無道。」

قَالَ لَا تَخَافَا إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَا أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ

46a qāla
46b lā taḫāfā
46c ʾinna-nī maʿa-kumā ʾasmaʿu
46d wa-ʾarā

He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46

主說：「你倆不要怕，我的確同你倆在一起，我聽著，而且看著。

فَأْتِيَاهُ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولَا رَبِّكَ فَأَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا تُعَذِّبْهُمْ قَدْ جِئْنَاكَ بِآيَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الْهُدَىٰ

47a fa-ʾtiyā-hu
47b fa-qūlā
47c ʾin-nā rasūlā rabbi-ka
47d fa-ʾarsil maʿa-nā banī ʾisrāʾīla
47e wa-lā tuʿaḏḏib-hum
47f qad ǧiʾnā-ka bi-ʾāyatin min rabbi-ka
47g wa-s-salāmu ʿalā mani ttabaʿa l-hudā

So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47

你倆去他那裡就說：『我倆確是你的主的使者，所以請你讓以色列的後裔同我倆一道去，請你不要虐待他們。我們已經把你的主的一種蹟象帶來給你了；遵守正道者，得享和平。

إِنَّا قَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْنَا أَنَّ الْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

48a P ʾin-nā
48a qad ʾūḥiya ʾilay-nā
48b ʾanna l-ʿaḏāba ʿalā man kaḏḏaba wa-tawallā

Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48

我們確已奉到啟示說：否認而且背棄者，將受刑罰。』」

قَالَ فَمَن رَّبُّكُمَا يَا مُوسَىٰ

49a qāla
49b fa-man rabbu-kumā
49b V yā-mūsā

(Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49

他說：「穆薩啊！誰是你倆的主？」

قَالَ رَبُّنَا الَّذِي أَعْطَىٰ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلْقَهُ ثُمَّ هَدَىٰ

50a qāla
50b rabbu-nā llaḏī aʿṭā kulla šayʾin ḫalqa-hū
50c ṯumma hadā

He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50

他說：「我們的主，是賦予萬物以天性，而加以引導的。」

قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ الْقُرُونِ الْأُولَىٰ

51a qāla
51b fa-mā bālu l-qurūni l-ʾūlā

He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51

他說：「以往各世紀的情況是怎樣的？」

قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّي فِي كِتَابٍ لَّا يَضِلُّ رَبِّي وَلَا يَنسَى

52a qāla
52b ʿilmu-hā ʿinda rabbī fī kitābin
52c lā yaḍillu rabb-ī
52d wa-lā yansā

He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52

他說：「關於他們的知識，在我的主那裡記錄在一本書中。我的主，既不錯誤，又不疏忽。」

الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَسَلَكَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّن نَّبَاتٍ شَتَّىٰ

53a (52dR) llaḏī ǧaʿala la-kumu l-ʾarḍa mahdan
53b wa-salaka la-kum fī-hā subulan
53c wa-ʾanzala mina s-samāʾi māʾan
53d fa-ʾaḫraǧnā bi-hī ʾazwāǧan min nabātin šattā

Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53

他為你們以大地為搖籃，他為你們在大地上開辟許多道路，他從雲中降下雨水，而借雨水生產各種植物。

كُلُوا وَارْعَوْا أَنْعَامَكُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُولِي النُّهَىٰ

54a kulū
54b wa-rʿaw ʾanʿāma-kum
54c ʾinna fī ḏālika la-ʾāyātin li-ʾulī n-nuhā

(Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54

你們可以吃那些植物，可以放牧你們的牲畜。對於有理智者，此中確有許多蹟象。

مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَىٰ

55a min-hā ḫalaqnā-kum
55b wa-fī-hā nuʿīdu-kum
55c wa-min-hā nuḫriǧu-kum tāratan ʾuḫrā

Thereof We created you, and thereunto We return you, and thence We bring you forth a second time. 55

我從大地創造你們，我使你們復返於大地，我再一次使你們從大地復活。

وَلَقَدْ أَرَيْنَاهُ آيَاتِنَا كُلَّهَا فَكَذَّبَ وَأَبَىٰ

56a wa-la-qad ʾaraynā-hu ʾāyāti-nā kulla-hā
56b fa-kaḏḏaba
56c wa-ʾabā

And We verily did show him all Our tokens, but he denied them and refused. 56

我確已指示他我所有的一切蹟象，而他加以否認，不肯信道。

قَالَ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتُخْرِجَنَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا بِسِحْرِكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ

57a qāla
57b ʾa-ǧiʾta-nā
57c li-tuḫriǧa-nā min ʾarḍi-nā bi-siḥri-ka
57c V yā-mūsā

He said: Hast come to drive us out from our land by thy magic, O Moses? 57

他說：「穆薩啊！你到我們這裡來，想借你的魔術把我們逐出國境嗎？

فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍ مِّثْلِهِ فَاجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّا نُخْلِفُهُ نَحْنُ وَلَا أَنتَ مَكَانًا سُوًى

58a fa-l-naʾtiyanna-ka bi-siḥrin miṯli-hī
58b fa-ǧʿal bayna-nā wa-bayna-ka mawʿidan
58b R lā nuḫlifu-hū naḥnu wa-lā ʾanta
58b makānan suwan

But we surely can produce for thee magic the like thereof; so appoint a tryst between us and you, which neither we nor thou shall fail to keep, at a place convenient (to us both). 58

我們必定在你面前表演同樣的魔術。你在一個互相商量的地方，在我們和你之間，訂－個約期，我們和你大家都不爽約。」

قَالَ مَوْعِدُكُمْ يَوْمُ الزِّينَةِ وَأَن يُحْشَرَ النَّاسُ ضُحًى

59a qāla mawʿidu-kum yawmu z-zīnati
59b wa-ʾan yuḥšara n-nāsu ḍuḥan

(Moses) said: Your tryst shall be the day of the feast, and let the people assemble when the sun hath risen high. 59

他說：「你們的約期定在節日，當眾人在早晨集合的時候。」

فَتَوَلَّىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فَجَمَعَ كَيْدَهُ ثُمَّ أَتَىٰ

60a fa-tawallā firʿawnu
60b fa-ǧamaʿa kayda-hū
60c ṯumma ʾatā

Then Pharaoh went and gathered his strength, then came (to the appointed tryst). 60

法老就轉回去，召集他的謀臣，然後他來了。

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰ وَيْلَكُمْ لَا تَفْتَرُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا فَيُسْحِتَكُم بِعَذَابٍ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنِ افْتَرَىٰ

61a qāla la-hum mūsā
61b J wayla-kum
61c lā taftarū ʿalā llāhi kaḏiban
61d fa-yusḥita-kum bi-ʿaḏābin
61e wa-qad ḫāba mani ftarā

Moses said unto them: Woe unto you! Invent not a lie against Allah, lest He extirpate you by some punishment. He who lieth faileth miserably. 61

穆薩對他們說：「你們真該死，你們不要誣蔑真主，以免他用刑罰毀滅你們；誣蔑真主者，確已失敗了。」

فَتَنَازَعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ وَأَسَرُّوا النَّجْوَىٰ

62a fa-tanāzaʿū ʾamra-hum bayna-hum
62b wa-ʾasarrū n-naǧwā

Then they debated one with another what they must do, and they kept their counsel secret. 62

他們為這件事，議論紛紛，並且隱匿他們的議論；

قَالُوا إِنْ هَٰذَانِ لَسَاحِرَانِ يُرِيدَانِ أَن يُخْرِجَاكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِمَا وَيَذْهَبَا بِطَرِيقَتِكُمُ الْمُثْلَىٰ

63a qālū
63b ʾin hāḏāni la-sāḥirāni
63b R yurīdāni
63c ʾan yuḫriǧā-kum min ʾarḍi-kum bi-siḥri-himā
63d wa-yaḏhabā bi-ṭarīqati-kumu l-muṯlā

They said: Lo! these are two wizards who would drive you out from your country by their magic, and destroy your best traditions; 63

他們說：「這兩個確是兩個術士，想用魔術把你們逐出國境，並且廢除你們的最完善的制度，

فَأَجْمِعُوا كَيْدَكُمْ ثُمَّ ائْتُوا صَفًّا وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْيَوْمَ مَنِ اسْتَعْلَىٰ

64a fa-ʾaǧmiʿū kayda-kum
64b ṯumma ʾtū ṣaffan
64c wa-qad ʾaflaḥa l-yawma mani staʿlā

So arrange your plan, and come in battle line. Whoso is uppermost this day will be indeed successful. 64

所以，你們應當決定你們的計策，然後結隊而來；今天佔上風的，必定成功。」

قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِمَّا أَن تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَىٰ

65a qālū
65b V yā-mūsā
65c ʾimmā ʾan tulqiya
65d wa-ʾimmā ʾan nakūna ʾawwala man ʾalqā

They said: O Moses! Either throw first, or let us be the first to throw? 65

他們說：「穆薩啊！是你先拋你的家伙呢？還是我們先拋呢？」

قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُوا فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِن سِحْرِهِمْ أَنَّهَا تَسْعَىٰ

66a qāla
66b bal ʾalqū
66c P fa-ʾiḏā ḥibālu-hum wa-ʿiṣīyu-hum
66c yuḫayyalu ʾilay-hi min siḥri-him
66d ʾanna-hā tasʿā

He said: Nay, do ye throw! Then lo! their cords and their staves, by their magic, appeared to him as though they ran. 66

他說：「還是你們先拋吧！」他們的繩子和拐杖，在他看來，好像是因他們的魔術而蜿蜒的。

فَأَوْجَسَ فِي نَفْسِهِ خِيفَةً مُّوسَىٰ

67a fa-ʾawǧasa fī nafsi-hī ḫīfatan mūsā

And Moses conceived a fear in his mind. 67

穆薩就心懷畏懼。

قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْأَعْلَىٰ

68a qulnā
68b lā taḫaf
68c ʾinna-ka ʾanta l-ʾaʿlā

We said: Fear not! Lo! thou art the higher. 68

我說：「你不要怕，你確是佔優勢的。

وَأَلْقِ مَا فِي يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوا إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا كَيْدُ سَاحِرٍ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَىٰ

69a wa-ʾalqi mā fī yamīni-ka
69b talqaf mā ṣanaʿū
69c ʾinna-mā ṣanaʿū kaydu sāḥirin
69d wa-lā yufliḥu s-sāḥiru
69e ḥayṯu ʾatā

Throw that which is in thy right hand! It will eat up that which they have made. Lo! that which they have made is but a wizard’s artifice, and a wizard shall not be successful to whatever point (of skill) he may attain. 69

你拋下你右手裡的拐杖，它就會吞沒了他們所造作的。他們所造作的，只是術士的法術；術士們無論幹甚麼總是不成功的。」

فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّدًا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَارُونَ وَمُوسَىٰ

70a fa-ʾulqiya s-saḥaratu suǧǧadan
70b qālū
70c ʾāmannā bi-rabbi hārūna wa-mūsā

Then the wizards were (all) flung down prostrate, crying: We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses. 70

於是，術士們拜倒下去，他們說：「我們已歸信哈倫和穆薩的主了。」

قَالَ آمَنتُمْ لَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ إِنَّهُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَافٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ فِي جُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ أَيُّنَا أَشَدُّ عَذَابًا وَأَبْقَىٰ

71a qāla
71b ʾāmantum la-hū
71c qabla ʾan ʾāḏana la-kum
71d ʾinna-hū la-kabīru-kumu
71d R llaḏī ʿallama-kumu s-siḥra
71e fa-la-ʾuqaṭṭiʿanna ʾaydiya-kum wa-ʾarǧula-kum min ḫilāfin
71f wa-la-ʾuṣallibanna-kum fī ǧuḏūʿi n-naḫli
71g wa-la-taʿlamunna
71h ʾayyu-nā ʾašaddu ʿaḏāban wa-ʾabqā [TEXTPROBLEM]

(Pharaoh) said: Ye put faith in him before I give you leave. Lo! he is your chief who taught you magic. Now surely I shall cut off your hands and your feet alternately, and I shall crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and ye shall know for certain which of us hath sterner and more lasting punishment. 71

法老說：「在我允許你們之前，你們就信奉他們了嗎？他必定是你們的頭子，他把魔術傳授你們，所以我誓必交互著砍掉你們的手和腳，我誓必把你們釘死在椰棗樹幹上，你們必定知道我們倆誰的刑罰更嚴厲，更長久。」

قَالُوا لَن نُّؤْثِرَكَ عَلَىٰ مَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالَّذِي فَطَرَنَا فَاقْضِ مَا أَنتَ قَاضٍ إِنَّمَا تَقْضِي هَٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا

72a qālū
72b lan nuʾṯira-ka ʿalā mā ǧāʾa-nā mina l-bayyināti wa-llaḏī faṭara-nā
72c fa-qḍi mā ʾanta qāḍin
72d ʾinna-mā taqḍī hāḏihī l-ḥayāta d-dunyā

They said: We choose thee not above the clear proofs that have come unto us, and above Him Who created us. So decree what thou wilt decree. Thou wilt end for us only this life of the world. 72

他們說：「我們絕不願挑選你而拋棄已降臨我們的明証和創造我們的主宰。你要怎麼辦就怎麼辦吧！你只能在今世生活中任意而為。

إِنَّا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّنَا لِيَغْفِرَ لَنَا خَطَايَانَا وَمَا أَكْرَهْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ مِنَ السِّحْرِ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ

73a ʾin-nā ʾāmannā bi-rabbi-nā
73b li-yaġfira la-nā ḫaṭāyā-nā wa-mā ʾakrahta-nā ʿalay-hi mina s-siḥri
73c wa-llāhu ḫayrun wa-ʾabqā [TEXTPROBLEM]

Lo! we believe in our Lord, that He may forgive us our sins and the magic unto which thou didst force us. Allah is better and more lasting. 73

我們確已信仰我們的主，以便他赦免我們的過失，和在你的強迫下我們表演魔術的罪行。真主（的賞賜）是更好的，（他的刑罰）是更久的。」

إِنَّهُ مَن يَأْتِ رَبَّهُ مُجْرِمًا فَإِنَّ لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ

74 P ʾinna-hū man yaʾti rabba-hū muǧriman
74 fa-ʾinna la-hū ǧahannama
74 R1 lā yamūtu fī-hā
74 R2 wa-lā yaḥyā

Lo! whoso cometh guilty unto his Lord, verily for him is hell. There he will neither die nor live. 74

犯罪而來見主者，必入火獄，在火獄裡，不死也不活。

وَمَن يَأْتِهِ مُؤْمِنًا قَدْ عَمِلَ الصَّالِحَاتِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الدَّرَجَاتُ الْعُلَىٰ

75a wa-man yaʾti-hī muʾminan
75b qad ʿamila ṣ-ṣāliḥāti
75c P fa-ʾulāʾika
75c la-humu d-daraǧātu l-ʿulā

But whoso cometh unto Him a believer, having done good works, for such are the high stations; 75

信道行善而來見主者，得享最高的品級

جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

76a ǧannātu ʿadnin
76a R taǧrī min taḥti-hā l-ʾanhāru
76a ḫālidīna fī-hā
76b wa-ḏālika ǧazāʾu man tazakkā

Gardens of Eden underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. That is the reward of him who groweth. 76

——常住的樂園，下臨諸河，而永居其中。那是純潔者的報酬。

وَلَقَدْ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي فَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ طَرِيقًا فِي الْبَحْرِ يَبَسًا لَّا تَخَافُ دَرَكًا وَلَا تَخْشَىٰ

77a wa-la-qad ʾawḥaynā ʾilā mūsā
77b ʾan ʾasri bi-ʿibād-ī
77c fa-ḍrib la-hum ṭarīqan fī l-baḥri yabasan
77d lā taḫāfu darakan
77e wa-lā taḫšā

And verily We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night and strike for them a dry path in the sea, fearing not to be overtaken, neither being afraid (of the sea). 77

我確已啟示穆薩說：「你在夜間率領著我的僕人們去旅行，你為他們在海上開辟一條旱道，你不要怕追兵出，也不要怕淹死。」

فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِ فَغَشِيَهُم مِّنَ الْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ

78a fa-ʾatbaʿa-hum firʿawnu bi-ǧunūdi-hī
78b fa-ġašiya-hum mina l-yammi mā ġašiya-hum

Then Pharaoh followed them with his hosts and there covered them that which did cover them of the sea. 78

法老統領他的軍隊，趕上他們，遂為海水所淹沒。

وَأَضَلَّ فِرْعَوْنُ قَوْمَهُ وَمَا هَدَىٰ

79a wa-ʾaḍalla firʿawnu qawma-hū
79b wa-mā hadā

And Pharaoh led his folk astray, he did not guide them. 79

法老把他的百姓領入歧途，他未將他們引入正路。

يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَدْ أَنجَيْنَاكُم مِّنْ عَدُوِّكُمْ وَوَاعَدْنَاكُمْ جَانِبَ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنَ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَىٰ

80a V yā-banī ʾisrāʾīla
80a qad ʾanǧaynā-kum min ʿadūwi-kum
80b wa-waʿadnā-kum ǧāniba ṭ-ṭūri l-ʾaymana
80c wa-nazzalnā ʿalay-kumu l-manna wa-s-salwā

O Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, and we made a covenant with you on the holy mountain’s side, and sent down on you the manna and the quails, 80

以色列的後裔啊！我曾拯救你們脫離你們的敵人，我曾在那山的右邊與你們訂約，我曾降甘露和鵪鶉給你們。

كُلُوا مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَلَا تَطْغَوْا فِيهِ فَيَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبِي وَمَن يَحْلِلْ عَلَيْهِ غَضَبِي فَقَدْ هَوَىٰ

81a kulū min tayyibāti mā razaqnā-kum
81b wa-lā taṭġaw fī-hi
81c fa-yaḥilla ʿalay-kum ġaḍab-ī
81d wa-man yaḥlil ʿalay-hi ġaḍab-ī
81e fa-qad hawā

(Saying): Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you, and transgress not in respect thereof lest My wrath come upon you: and he on whom My wrath cometh, he is lost indeed. 81

你們可以吃我所賞賜你們的佳美的食品，但不可過份，以免應受我的譴責，誰應受我的譴責，誰必淪喪。

وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٌ لِّمَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدَىٰ

82 wa-ʾin-nī la-ġaffārun li-man tāba wa-ʾāmana wa-ʿamila ṣālihan
ṯumma ihtadā

And lo! verily I am Forgiving toward him who repenteth and believeth and doeth good, and afterward walketh aright. 82

悔罪信道，並且力行善功，永循正道者，我對於他，確是至赦的。

وَمَا أَعْجَلَكَ عَن قَوْمِكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ

83 wa-mā ʾaʿǧala-ka ʿan qawmi-ka
83 V yā-mūsā

And (it was said): What hath made thee hasten from thy folk, O Moses? 83

穆薩啊！你為何倉促地離開你的宗族呢？

قَالَ هُمْ أُولَاءِ عَلَىٰ أَثَرِي وَعَجِلْتُ إِلَيْكَ رَبِّ لِتَرْضَىٰ

84a qāla
84b hum ʾulāʾi ʿalā ʾaṯar-ī
84c wa-ʿaǧiltu ʾilay-ka
84c V rabb-i
84d li-tarḍā

He said: They are close upon my track. I hastened unto Thee, my Lord, that Thou mightest be well pleased. 84

他說：「他們將追蹤而來。我的主啊！我忙到你這裡來，以便你喜悅。」

قَالَ فَإِنَّا قَدْ فَتَنَّا قَوْمَكَ مِن بَعْدِكَ وَأَضَلَّهُمُ السَّامِرِيُّ

85a qāla
85b fa-ʾin-nā qad fatannā qawma-ka min baʿdi-ka
85c wa-ʾaḍalla-humu s-sāmirīyu

He said: Lo! We have tried thy folk in thine absence, and As-Samiri hath misled them. 85

主說：「在你（離別）之後，我確已考驗你的宗族，撒米里已使他們迷誤了。」

فَرَجَعَ مُوسَىٰ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ أَسِفًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَمْ يَعِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا أَفَطَالَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَهْدُ أَمْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن يَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُم مَّوْعِدِي

86a fa-raǧaʿa mūsā ʾilā qawmi-hī
ġaḍbāna ʾasifan
86b qāla
86c V yā-qawm-i
86c ʾa-lam yaʿid-kum rabbu-kum waʿdan ḥasanan
86d ʾa-fa-ṭāla ʿalay-kumu l-ʿahdu
86e ʾam aradtum
86f ʾan yaḥilla ʿalay-kum ġaḍabun min rabbi-kum
86g fa-ʾaḫlaftum mawʿid-ī

Then Moses went back unto his folk, angry and sad. He said: O my people! Hath not your Lord promised you a fair promise? Did the time appointed then appear too long for you, or did ye wish that wrath from your Lord should come upon you, that ye broke tryst with me? 86

穆薩悲憤地轉回去看他的宗族，他說：「我的宗族啊！難道你們的主，沒有給你們一個美好的應許嗎？你們覺得時間太長呢？還是你們想應受從你們的主發出的譴責，因而你們違背了對我的約言呢？」

قَالُوا مَا أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَا أَوْزَارًا مِّن زِينَةِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَاهَا فَكَذَٰلِكَ أَلْقَى السَّامِرِيُّ

87a qālū
87b mā ʾaḫlafnā mawʿida-ka bi-malki-nā
87c wa-lākin-nā ḥummilnā ʾawzāran min zīnāti l-qawmi
87d fa-qaḏafnā-hā
87e fa-ka-ḏālika ʾalqā s-sāmirīyu

They said: We broke not tryst with thee of our own will, but we were laden with burdens of ornaments of the folk, then cast them (in the fire), for thus As-Samiri proposed. 87

他們說：「我們沒有自願地違背對你的約言，但我們把（埃及人的）許多首飾攜帶出來，覺得很沉重，我們就拋下了那些首飾，撒米里也同樣地拋下了（他所攜帶的首飾）。」

فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَّهُ خُوَارٌ فَقَالُوا هَٰذَا إِلَٰهُكُمْ وَإِلَٰهُ مُوسَىٰ فَنَسِيَ

88a fa-ʾaḫraǧa la-hum ʿiǧlan ǧasadan
88a R la-hū ḫuwārun
88b fa-qālū
88c hāḏā ʾilāhu-kum wa-ʾilāhu mūsā
88d fa-nasiya

Then he produced for them a calf, of saffron hue, which gave forth a lowing sound. And they cried: This is your god and the god of Moses, but he hath forgotten. 88

他就為他們鑄出一頭牛犢——一個有犢聲的軀殼，他們就說：「這是你們的主，也是穆薩的主，但他忘記了。」

أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَلَّا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا

89a ʾa-fa-lā yarawna
89b ʾal-lā yarǧiʿu ʾilay-him qawlan
89c wa-lā yamliku la-hum ḍarran wa-lā nafʿan

See they not, then, that it returneth no saying unto them and possesseth for them neither hurt nor use? 89

那頭牛犢不能回答他們的問話，也不能主持他們的禍福，難道他們不知道嗎？

وَلَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُمْ هَارُونُ مِن قَبْلُ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ فَاتَّبِعُونِي وَأَطِيعُوا أَمْرِي

90a wa-la-qad qāla la-hum hārūnu min qablu
90b V yā-qawm-i
90b ʾinna-mā futintum bi-hī
90c wa-ʾinna rabba-kumu r-raḥmānu
90d fa-ttabiʿū-nī
90e wa-ʾaṭīʿū ʾamr-ī

And Aaron indeed had told them beforehand: O my people! Ye are but being seduced therewith, for lo! your Lord is the Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order. 90

以前哈倫確已對他們說：「我的宗族啊！你們只是為牛犢所迷惑，你們的主，確是至仁主。你們應當順從我，當服從我的命令。」

قَالُوا لَن نَّبْرَحَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفِينَ حَتَّىٰ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ

91a qālū
91b lan nabraḥa ʿalay-hi ʿākifīna
91b ḥattā yarǧiʿa ʾilay-nā mūsā

They said: We shall by no means cease to be its votaries till Moses return unto us. 91

他們說：「我們必繼續崇拜牛犢，直至穆薩轉回來。」

قَالَ يَا هَارُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَهُمْ ضَلُّوا

92a qāla
92b V yā-hārūnu
92b mā manaʿa-ka
92c ʾiḏ rāʾyta-hum
92d ḍallū

He (Moses) said: O Aaron! What held thee back when thou didst see them gone astray, 92

穆薩說：「哈倫啊！當你看見他們誤入迷途的時候，是甚麼障礙，

أَلَّا تَتَّبِعَنِ أَفَعَصَيْتَ أَمْرِي

93a ʾal-lā tattabiʿa-ni
93b ʾa-fa-ʿaṣayta ʾamr-ī

That thou followedst me not? Hast thou then disobeyed my order? 93

你為何不跟隨我？難道你要違背我的命令嗎？」

قَالَ يَا ابْنَ أُمَّ لَا تَأْخُذْ بِلِحْيَتِي وَلَا بِرَأْسِي إِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَن تَقُولَ فَرَّقْتَ بَيْنَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَمْ تَرْقُبْ قَوْلِي

94a qāla
94b V yā-bna-ʾumma
94b lā taʾḫuḏ bi-liḥyat-ī wa-lā bi-raʾs-ī
94c ʾin-nī ḫašītu
94d ʾan taqūla
94e farraqta bayna banī ʾisrāʾīla
94f wa-lam tarqub qawl-ī

He said: O son of my mother! Clutch not my beard nor my head! I feared lest thou shouldst say: Thou hast caused division among the Children of Israel, and hast not waited for my word. 94

他說：「我的胞弟啊！你不要揪住我的頭髮和鬍子，我的確怕你說：『你使以色列分裂，而不注意我的話。』」

قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكَ يَا سَامِرِيُّ

95a qāla
95b fa-mā ḫaṭbu-ka
95b V yā-sāmirīyu

(Moses) said: And what hast thou to say, O Samiri? 95

穆薩說：「撤米里啊！你怎麼了？」

قَالَ بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا بِهِ فَقَبَضْتُ قَبْضَةً مِّنْ أَثَرِ الرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذْتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ لِي نَفْسِي

96a qāla
96b baṣurtu bi-mā lam yabṣurū bi-hī
96c fa-qabaḍtu qabḍatan min ʾaṯari r-rasūli
96d fa-nabaḏtu-hā
96e wa-ka-ḏālika sawwalat l-ī nafs-ī

He said: I perceived what they perceive not, so I seized a handful from the footsteps of the messenger, and then threw it in. Thus my soul commended to me. 96

他說：「我曾見他們所未見的，我從使者的遺蹟上握了一把土，而我把它拋下去，我的私欲那樣慫恿我。」

قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ لَكَ فِي الْحَيَاةِ أَن تَقُولَ لَا مِسَاسَ وَإِنَّ لَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّن تُخْلَفَهُ وَانظُرْ إِلَىٰ إِلَٰهِكَ الَّذِي ظَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفًا لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُ ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُ فِي الْيَمِّ نَسْفًا

97a qāla
97b fa-ḏhab
97c fa-ʾinna la-ka fī l-ḥāyati ʾan taqūla
97d lā misāsa
97e wa-ʾinna la-ka mawʿidan
97e R lan tuḫlafa-hū
97f wa-nẓur ʾilā ʾilāhi-ka
97f R llaḏī ẓalta ʿalay-hi ʿākifan
97g la-nuḥarriqanna-hū
97h ṯumma la-nansifanna-hū fī l-yammi nasfan

(Moses) said: Then go! and lo! in this life it is for thee to say: Touch me not! and lo! there is for thee a tryst thou canst not break. Now look upon thy god of which thou hast remained a votary. Verily we will burn it and will scatter its dust over the sea. 97

他說：「你去吧！你這輩子必定常說：不要接觸我。你確有一個（受刑的）約期，你絕不能避免它，你看你虔誠駐守的神靈吧！我們必定要焚化它，然後必把它撒在海裡。

إِنَّمَا إِلَٰهُكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا

98a ʾinna-mā ʾilāhu-kumu llāhu
98a R llaḏī lā ʾilāha ʾil-lā huwa
98b wasiʿa kulla šayʾin ʿilman

Your God is only Allah, than Whom there is no other God. He embraceth all things in His knowledge. 98

你們所當崇拜的，只是真主，除他外，絕無應受崇拜的，他是周知萬物的。」

كَذَٰلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنبَاءِ مَا قَدْ سَبَقَ وَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكْرًا

99a ka-ḏālika naquṣṣu ʿalay-ka min ʾanbāʾi mā qad sabaqa
99b wa-qad ʾātaynā-ka min ladun-nā ḏikran

Thus relate We unto thee (Muhammad) some tidings of that which happened of old, and We have given thee from Our presence a reminder. 99

我這樣對你敘述些以往者的故事，我已賜給你從我發出的記念；

مَّنْ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَحْمِلُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وِزْرًا

100a man ʾaʿraḍa ʿan-hu
100b fa-ʾinna-hū yaḥmilu yawma l-qiyāmati wizran

Whoso turneth away from it, he verily will bear a burden on the Day of Resurrection, 100

誰違背這個記念，誰在復活日必負重罪，

خَالِدِينَ فِيهِ وَسَاءَ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حِمْلًا

101a ḫālidīna fī-hi
101b wa-sāʾa la-hum yawma l-qiyāmati ḥimlan

Abiding under it - an evil burden for them on the Day of Resurrection, 101

而永居其刑罰中。復活日那負擔對他們真糟糕。

يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ وَنَحْشُرُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ زُرْقًا

102a yawma yunfaḫu fī ṣ-ṣūri
102b wa-naḥšuru l-muǧrimīna yawmaʾiḏin zurqan

The day when the Trumpet is blown. On that day we assemble the guilty white-eyed (with terror), 102

那是在吹號角之日，在那日我將集合藍眼睛的罪犯；

يَتَخَافَتُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا عَشْرًا

103a yataḫāfatūna bayna-hum
103b ʾin labiṯtum ʾil-lā ʿašran

Murmuring among themselves: Ye have tarried but ten (days). 103

他們低聲相告說：「你們只逗留了十天。」

نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذْ يَقُولُ أَمْثَلُهُمْ طَرِيقَةً إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا يَوْمًا

104a naḥnu ʾaʿlamu bi-mā yaqūlūna
104b ʾiḏ yaqūlu ʾamṯalu-hum ṭarīqatan
104c ʾin labiṯtum ʾil-lā yawman

We are Best Aware of what they utter when their best in conduct say: Ye have tarried but a day. 104

我知道他們說些甚麼。當時，他們中思想最正確的人說：「你們只逗留了一天。」

وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنسِفُهَا رَبِّي نَسْفًا

105a wa-yasʾalūna-ka ʿani l-ǧibāli
105b fa-qul
105c yansifu-hā rabb-ī nasfan

They will ask thee of the mountains (on that day). Say: My Lord will break them into scattered dust. 105

他們問你諸山的（結局），你說：「我的主將粉碎諸山，

فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعًا صَفْصَفًا

106 fa-yaḏaru-hā qāʿan ṣafṣafan

And leave it as an empty plain, 106

而使它們變成平原，

لَّا تَرَىٰ فِيهَا عِوَجًا وَلَا أَمْتًا

107a lā tarā fī-hā ʿiwaǧan wa-lā ʾamtan

Wherein thou seest neither curve nor ruggedness. 107

你將不能見甚麼坎坷，也不能見甚麼崎嶇。」

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ الدَّاعِيَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُ وَخَشَعَتِ الْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا

108a yawmaʾiḏin yattabiʿūna d-dāʿiya
108b lā ʿiwaǧa la-hū
108c wa-ḫašaʿati l-ʾaṣwātu li-r-raḥmāni
108d fa-lā tasmaʿu ʾil-lā hamsan

On that day they follow the summoner who deceiveth not, and voices are hushed for the Beneficent, and thou hearest but a faint murmur. 108

在那日，眾人將順從號召者，毫無違拗，一切聲音將為至仁主而安靜下來，除足音外，你聽不見甚麼聲音。

يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا تَنفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَرَضِيَ لَهُ قَوْلًا

109a yawmaʾiḏin lā tanfaʿu š-šafāʿatu
109b ʾil-lā man ʾaḏina la-hū r-raḥmānu
109c wa-raḍiya la-hū qawlan

On that day no intercession availeth save (that of) him unto whom the Beneficent hath given leave and whose word He accepteth. 109

在那日，除至仁主所特許而且喜愛其言論者外，一切說情，都沒有功效。

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِهِ عِلْمًا

110a yaʿlamu mā bayna ʾaydī-him wa-mā ḫalfa-hum
110b wa-lā yuḥīṭūna bi-hī ʿilman

He knoweth (all) that is before them and (all) that is behind them, while they cannot compass it in knowledge. 110

在他們前面的和在他們後面的，真主都知道，而他們卻不知道。

وَعَنَتِ الْوُجُوهُ لِلْحَيِّ الْقَيُّومِ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ حَمَلَ ظُلْمًا

111a wa-ʿanati l-wuǧūhu li-l-ḥayyi l-qayyūmi
111b wa-qad ḫāba man ḥamala ẓulman

And faces humble themselves before the Living, the Eternal. And he who beareth (a burden of) wrongdoing is indeed a failure (on that day). 111

罪人們將對永生自立的主宰表示謙恭，背負罪惡者，確已失望了。

وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا يَخَافُ ظُلْمًا وَلَا هَضْمًا

112a wa-man yaʿmal mina ṣ-ṣāliḥāti
112b wa-huwa muʾminun
112c fa-lā yaḫafu ẓulman wa-lā haḍman

And he who hath done some good works, being a believer, he feareth not injustice nor begrudging (of his wage). 112

信道而行善者，不怕虧枉和克扣。

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا وَصَرَّفْنَا فِيهِ مِنَ الْوَعِيدِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ أَوْ يُحْدِثُ لَهُمْ ذِكْرًا

113a wa-ka-ḏālika ʾanzalnā-hu qurʾānan ʿarabīyan
113b wa-ṣarrafnā fī-hi mina l-waʿīdi
113c laʿalla-hum yattaqūna
113d ʾaw yuḥdiṯu la-hum ḏikran

Thus we have revealed it as a Lecture in Arabic, and have displayed therein certain threats, that peradventure they may keep from evil or that it may cause them to take heed. 113

我這樣降示阿拉伯文的《古蘭經》，我在其中申述警告，以便他們敬畏，或使他們記憶。

فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ وَلَا تَعْجَلْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُقْضَىٰ إِلَيْكَ وَحْيُهُ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

114a fa-taʿālā llāhu l-maliku l-ḥaqqu
114b wa-lā taʿǧal bi-l-qurʾāni
114c min qabli ʾan yuqḍā ʾilay-ka waḥyu-hū
114d wa-qul
114e V rabb-i
114e zid-nī ʿilman

Then exalted be Allah, the True King! And hasten not (O Muhammad) with the Qur’an ere its revelation hath been perfected unto thee, and say: My Lord! Increase me in knowledge. 114

真主是超絕萬物，宰制眾生，體用真實的。對你啟示《古蘭經》還沒有完全的時候，你不要急忙誦讀。你說：「我的主啊！求你增加我的知識。」

وَلَقَدْ عَهِدْنَا إِلَىٰ آدَمَ مِن قَبْلُ فَنَسِيَ وَلَمْ نَجِدْ لَهُ عَزْمًا

115a wa-la-qad ʿahidnā ʾilā ʾādama min qablu
115b fa-nasiya
115c wa-lam naǧid la-hū ʿazman

And verily We made a covenant of old with Adam, but he forgot, and We found no constancy in him. 115

以前，我確已囑咐阿丹，而他忘記我的囑咐，我未發現他有任何決心。

وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ

116a wa-ʾiḏ qulnā li-l-malāʾikati
116b sǧudū li-ʾādama
116c fa-saǧadū
116d ʾil-lā ʾiblīsa ʾabā

And when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, they fell prostrate (all) save Iblis; he refused. 116

當時我對眾天神說：「你們當向阿丹叩頭。」他們就叩頭，但易卜劣廝除外。

فَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا عَدُوٌّ لَّكَ وَلِزَوْجِكَ فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَتَشْقَىٰ

117a fa-qulnā
117b V yā-ʾādamu
117b ʾinna hāḏā ʿadūwun la-ka wa-li-zawǧi-ka
117c fa-lā yuḫriǧanna-kumā mina l-ǧannati
117d fa-tašqā

Therefor we said: O Adam! This is an enemy unto thee and unto thy wife, so let him not drive you both out of the Garden so that thou come to toil. 117

我說：「阿丹啊！這確是你的仇敵，也確是你的妻子的仇敵，絕不要讓他把你倆逐出樂園，以免你們辛苦。

إِنَّ لَكَ أَلَّا تَجُوعَ فِيهَا وَلَا تَعْرَىٰ

118a ʾinna la-ka
118b ʾal-lā taǧūʿa fī-hā
118c wa-lā taʿrā

It is (vouchsafed) unto thee that thou hungerest not therein nor art naked, 118

你在樂園裡必不饑餓，必不裸露，

وَأَنَّكَ لَا تَظْمَأُ فِيهَا وَلَا تَضْحَىٰ

119a wa-ʾanna-ka lā taẓmaʾu fī-hā
119b wa-lā taḍḥā

And that thou thirstest not therein nor art exposed to the sun’s heat. 119

必不口渴，必不感炎熱。」

فَوَسْوَسَ إِلَيْهِ الشَّيْطَانُ قَالَ يَا آدَمُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ الْخُلْدِ وَمُلْكٍ لَّا يَبْلَىٰ

120a fa-waswasa ʾilay-hi š-šayṭānu
120b qāla
120c V yā-ʾādamu
120c hal ʾadullu-ka ʿalā šaǧarati l-ḫuldi wa-mulkin
120c R lā yablā

But the devil whispered to him, saying: O Adam! Shall I show thee the tree of immortality and power that wasteth not away? 120

嗣後，惡魔誘惑他說：「阿丹啊！我指示你長生樹，和不朽園好嗎？」

فَأَكَلَا مِنْهَا فَبَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْآتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ الْجَنَّةِ وَعَصَىٰ آدَمُ رَبَّهُ فَغَوَىٰ

121a fa-ʾakalā min-hā
121b fa-badat la-huma sawʾatu-humā
121c wa-ṭafiqā yaḫṣifāni ʿalay-himā min waraqi l-ǧannati
121d wa-ʿaṣā ʾādamu rabba-hū
121e fa-ġawā

Then they twain ate thereof, so that their shame became apparent unto them, and they began to hide by heaping on themselves some of the leaves of the Garden. And Adam disobeyed his Lord, so went astray. 121

他倆就吃了那棵樹的果實，他倆的陰部就對他倆顯露了，他倆就以園裡的樹葉遮蔽身體。阿丹違背了他們的主，因而迷誤了。

ثُمَّ اجْتَبَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ وَهَدَىٰ

122a ṯumma ǧtabā-hu rabbu-hū
122b fa-tāba ʿalay-hi
122c wa-hadā

Then his Lord chose him, and relented toward him, and guided him. 122

嗣後，他的主挑選了他，饒恕了他，引導了他。

قَالَ اهْبِطَا مِنْهَا جَمِيعًا بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّي هُدًى فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ هُدَايَ فَلَا يَضِلُّ وَلَا يَشْقَىٰ

123a qāla
123b hbiṭā min-hā ǧamīʿan
123c baʿḍu-kum li-baʿḍin ʿadūwun
123d fa-ʾimmā yaʾtiyanna-kum minn-ī hudan
123e fa-mani ttabaʿa hudā-ya
123f fa-lā yaḍillu
123g wa-lā yašqā

He said: Go down hence, both of you, one of you a foe unto the other. But when there come unto you from Me a guidance, then whoso followeth My guidance, he will not go astray nor come to grief. 123

他說：「你倆都從樂園降下去！你們將互相仇視。如果正道從我降臨你們，那末，誰遵循我的正道，誰不會迷誤，也不會倒霉；

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَعْمَىٰ

124a wa-man ʾaʿraḍa ʿan ḏikr-ī
124b fa-ʾinna la-hū maʿīšatan ḍankan
124c wa-naḥšuru-hū yawma l-qiyāmati ʾaʿmā

But he who turneth away from remembrance of Me, his will be a narrow life, and I shall bring him blind to the assembly on the Day of Resurrection. 124

誰違背我的教誨，誰必過窘迫的生活，復活日我使他在盲目的情況下被集合。」

قَالَ رَبِّ لِمَ حَشَرْتَنِي أَعْمَىٰ وَقَدْ كُنتُ بَصِيرًا

125a qāla
125b V rabb-i
125b li-mā ḥašarta-nī ʾaʿmā
125c wa-qad kuntu baṣīran

He will say: My Lord! Wherefor hast Thou gathered me (hither) blind, when I was wont to see? 125

他將說：「我的主啊！我本來不是盲目的，你為甚麼使我在盲目的情況下被集合呢？」

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ آيَاتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ

126a qāla
126b ka-ḏālika ʾatat-ka ʾāyātu-nā
126c fa-nasīta-hā
126d wa-ka-ḏālika l-yawma tunsā

He will say: So (it must be). Our revelations came unto thee but thou didst forget them. In like manner thou art forgotten this Day. 126

主將說：「事實是這樣的，我的蹟象降臨你，而你遺棄它，你今天也同樣地被遺棄了。」

وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِن بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَىٰ

127a wa-ka-ḏālika naǧzī man ʾasrafa wa-lam yuʾmin bi-ʾayāti rabbi-hī
127b wa-la-ʿaḏābu l-ʾāḫirati ʾašaddu wa-ʾabqā

Thus do We reward him who is prodigal and believeth not the revelations of his Lord; and verily the doom of the Hereafter will be sterner and more lasting. 127

凡行為過份而且不信主的蹟象者，我都要給他同樣的報酬。後世的刑罰，確是更嚴厲的，確是更常存的。

أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُولِي النُّهَىٰ

128a ʾa-fa-lam yahdi la-hum kam ʾahlaknā qabla-hum mina l-qurūni
128a R yamšūna fī masākini-him
128b ʾinna fī ḏālika la-ʾāyātin li-ʾulī n-nuhā

Is it not a guidance for them (to know) how many a generation We destroyed before them, amid whose dwellings they walk? Lo! therein verily are signs for men of thought. 128

難道他們不知道嗎？在他們之前，我曾毀滅了許多世代，他們常和那些人的故鄉往來，對於有理智者，此中確有許多蹟象。

وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَامًا وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى

129a wa-law-lā kalimatun
129a R sabaqat
129a min rabbi-ka
129b la-kāna lizāman
129c wa-ʾaǧalun musamman

And but for a decree that had already gone forth from thy Lord, and a term already fixed, the judgment would have been inevitable (in this world). 129

要不是有一句話從你的主預先發出，要不是有限期，你的主加以預定，那麼，（毀滅對於他們）是必然的。

فَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا وَمِنْ آنَاءِ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَىٰ

130a fa-ṣbir ʿalā mā yaqūlūna
130b wa-sabbiḥ bi-ḥamdi rabbi-ka qabla ṭulūʿi š-šamsi wa-qabla ġurūbi-hā
130c P wa-min ʾānāʾi l-layli
130c fa-sabbiḥ
wa-ʾaṭrāfa n-nāhari
130d laʿalla-ka tarḍā

Therefor (O Muhammad), bear with what they say, and celebrate the praise of thy Lord ere the rising of the sun and ere the going down thereof. And glorify Him some hours of the night and at the two ends of the day, that thou mayst find acceptance. 130

你應當忍受他們所說的（讕言），你應當在太陽出沒之前讚頌你的主，你應當在夜間和白晝讚頌他，以便你喜悅。

وَلَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ زَهْرَةَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ وَرِزْقُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ

131a wa-lā tamuddanna ʿaynay-ka ʾilā mā mattaʿnā bi-hī ʾazwāǧan min-hum
zahrata l-ḥayāti d-dunyā
131b li-naftina-hum fī-hi
131c wa-rizqu rabbi-ka ḫayrun wa-ʾabqā

And strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoy, the flower of the life of the world, that We may try them thereby. The provision of thy Lord is better and more lasting. 131

你不要覬覦我所用以供給他們中各等人享受的，那是今世生活的浮華，我用來考驗他們；你的主的給養，是更好的，是更久的。

وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَاصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا لَا نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ

132a wa-ʾmur ʾahla-ka bi-ṣ-ṣalāti
132b wa-ṣṭabir ʿalay-hā
132c lā nasʾalu-ka rizqan
132d naḥnu narzuqu-ka
132e wa-l-ʿāqibatu li-t-taqwā

And enjoin upon thy people worship, and be constant therein. We ask not of thee a provision: We provided for thee. And the sequel is for righteousness. 132

你應當命令你的信徒們禮拜，你對於拜功，也應當有恆，我不以給養責成你，我供給你。善果只歸於敬畏者。

وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا بِآيَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِم بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ

133a wa-qālū
133b law-lā yaʾtī-nā bi-ʾāyatin min rabbi-hī
133c ʾa-wa-lam taʾti-him bayyinatu mā fī ṣ-ṣuḥufi l-ʾūlā

And they say: If only he would bring us a miracle from his Lord! Hath there not come unto them the proof of what is in the former scriptures? 133

他們說：「他怎麼不從他的那裡拿一種蹟象來給我們呢？」關於《古蘭經》的闡明，難道沒有降臨他們嗎？

وَلَوْ أَنَّا أَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِعَذَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِهِ لَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخْزَىٰ

134a wa-law ʾan-nā ʾahlaknā-hum bi-ʿaḏābin min qabli-hī
134b la-qālū
134c V rabba-nā
134c law-lā ʾarsalta ʾilay-nā rasūlan
134d fa-nattabiʿa ʾāyāti-ka
134e min qabli ʾan naḏilla
134f wa-naḫzā

And if we had destroyed them with some punishment before it, they would assuredly have said: Our Lord! If only Thou hadst sent unto us a messenger, so that we might have followed Thy revelations before we were (thus) humbled and disgraced! 134

假若在派遣他之前，我以刑罰毀滅他們，他們必定要說：「我們的主啊！你怎麼不派遣一個使者來引導我們，以便我們在蒙受卑賤和恥辱之前，遵守你的蹟象呢？」

قُلْ كُلٌّ مُّتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَابُ الصِّرَاطِ السَّوِيِّ وَمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ

135a qul
135b kullun mutarabbiṣun
135c fa-tarabbaṣū
135d fa-sa-taʿlamūna man ʾaṣḥābu ṣ-ṣirāṭi s-sawīyi wa-mani htadā

Say: Each is awaiting; so await ye! Ye will come to know who are the owners of the path of equity, and who is right. 135

你說：「我們雙方都是等候的，你們等著吧，你們將來就知道誰是履坦途的，誰是循正道的。」
