الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُ تَقْدِيرًا

2a (1aR) allaḏī la-hū mulku s-samāwāti wa-l-ʾarḍi
2b wa-lam yattaḫiḏ waladan
2c wa-lam yakun la-hū šarīkun fi l-mulki
2d wa-ḫalaqa kulla šayʾin
2e fa-qaddara-hū taqdīran

He unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, He hath chosen no son nor hath He any partner in the Sovereignty. He hath created everything and hath meted out for it a measure. 2

天地的國土是他的；他沒有收養兒子，在國土中沒有伙伴。他創造萬物，並加以精密的注定。

وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَاةً وَلَا نُشُورًا

3a wa-ttaḫaḏū min dūni-hī ʾālihatan
3a R lā yaḫluqūna šayʾan
3b wa-hum yuḫlaqūna
3c wa-lā yamlikūna li-ʾanfusi-him ḍarran wa-lā nafʿan
3d wa-lā yamlikūna mawtan wa-lā ḥayātan wa-lā nušūran

Yet they choose beside Him other gods who create naught but are themselves created, and possess not hurt nor profit for themselves, and possess not death nor life, nor power to raise the dead. 3

他們除真主外曾崇拜許多神靈，那些神靈不能創造任何物，他們自己卻是被造的；他們不能主持自身的禍福，也不能主持（他人的）生死和復活。

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا إِفْكٌ افْتَرَاهُ وَأَعَانَهُ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ آخَرُونَ فَقَدْ جَاءُوا ظُلْمًا وَزُورًا

4a wa-qāla llaḏīna kafarū
4b ʾin hāḏā ʾil-lā ʾifkuni
4b R1 ftarā-hu
4b R2 wa-ʾaʿāna-hū ʿalay-hi qawmun ʾaḫarūna
4c fa-qad ǧāʾū ẓulman wa-zūran

Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie. 4

不信道者說：「這只是他所捏造的謠言，別的許多人曾幫助他。」他們已做了不義的事，已說了不義的謬妄的話。

وَقَالُوا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ اكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِيَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا

5a wa-qālū
5b ʾasāṭīru l-ʾawwalīna
5b R ktataba-hā
5c fa-hiya tumlā ʿalay-hi bukratan wa-ʾaṣīlan

And they say: Fables of the men of old which he hath had written down so that they are dictated to him morn and evening. 5

他們說：「這是古人的神話，他使人抄錄下來，朝夕對他誦讀。」

قُلْ أَنزَلَهُ الَّذِي يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

6a qul
6b ʾanzala-hū llaḏī yaʿlamu s-sirra fi s-samāwāti wa-l-ʾarḍi
6c ʾinna-hū kāna ġafūran raḥīman

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He who knoweth the secret of the heavens and the earth hath revealed it. Lo! He ever is Forgiving, Merciful. 6

你說：「知道天地的奧秘者降示了它。他確是至赦的，確是至慈的。」

وَقَالُوا مَالِ هَٰذَا الرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِي فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُ نَذِيرًا

7a wa-qālū
7b mā li [-] hāḏā r-rasūli
7c yaʾkulu ṭ-ṭaʿāma
7d wa-yamšī fi l-ʾaswāqi
7e law-lā ʾunzila ʾilay-hi malakun
7f fa-yakūna maʿa-hū naḏīran

And they say: What aileth this messenger (of Allah) that he eateth food and walketh in the markets? Why is not an angel sent down unto him, to be a warner with him. 7

他們說：「這個使者怎麼也吃飯，也往來於市場之間呢？為何真主不派一個天神降臨他，而與他同為警告者，

أَوْ يُلْقَىٰ إِلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ تَكُونُ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا وَقَالَ الظَّالِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُورًا

8a ʾaw yulqā ʾilay-hi kanzun
8b ʾaw takūnu la-hū ǧannatun
8b R yaʾkulu min-hā
8c wa-qāla ẓ-ẓālimūna
8d ʾin tattabiʿūna ʾil-lā raǧulan masḥūran

Or (why is not) treasure thrown down unto him, or why hath he not a paradise from whence to eat? And the evil-doers say: Ye are but following a man bewitched. 8

或者把一個財寶賞賜他，或者他有一座果園，供他食用呢？」不義者說：「你們只順從一個被蠱惑者。」

انظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا لَكَ الْأَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّوا فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا

9a unẓur
9b kayfa ḍarabū la-ka l-ʾamṯāla
9c fa-ḍallū
9d fa-lā yastaṭīʿūna sabīlan

See how they coin similitudes for thee, so that they are all astray and cannot find a road! 9

你看他們怎樣為你打了許多譬喻，而他們自己誤入歧途，故不能獲得一條正路。

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي إِن شَاءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِّن ذَٰلِكَ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَيَجْعَل لَّكَ قُصُورًا

10a tabāraka llaḏī
10b ʾin šāʾa
10a ǧaʿala la-ka ḫayran min ḏālika
ǧannātin
10a R taǧrī min taḥti-hā l-ʾanhāru
10c wa-yaǧʿal la-ka quṣūran

Blessed is He Who, if He will, will assign thee better than (all) that - Gardens underneath which rivers flow - and will assign thee mansions. 10

聖潔哉真主！如果他意欲，他要賞賜你比那個更好的，即下臨諸河的一些果園，他要賞賜你一些大廈。

بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالسَّاعَةِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِالسَّاعَةِ سَعِيرًا

11a bal kaḏḏabū bi-s-sāʿati
11b wa-ʾaʿtadnā li-man kaḏḏaba bi-s-sāʿati saʿīran

Nay, but they deny (the coming of) the Hour, and for those who deny (the coming of) the Hour We have prepared a flame. 11

不然，他們否認復活時，我已為否認復活時者預備烈火。

إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا

12a ʾiḏā raʾat-hum min makānin baʿīdin
12b samiʿū la-hā taġayyuẓan wa-zafīran

When it seeth them from afar, they hear the crackling and the roar thereof. 12

當它從遠處看見他們的時候，他們聽見爆裂聲和太息聲【何解？】。

وَإِذَا أُلْقُوا مِنْهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًا

13a wa-ʾiḏā ʾulqū min-hā makānan ḍayyiqan
muqarranīna
13b daʿaw hunālika ṯubūran

And when they are flung into a narrow place thereof, chained together, they pray for destruction there. 13

當他們被枷鎖著投入烈火中一個狹隘地方的時候，他們在那裡哀號求死。

لَّا تَدْعُوا الْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا وَاحِدًا وَادْعُوا ثُبُورًا كَثِيرًا

14a lā tadʿu l-yawma ṯubūran wāḥidan
14b wa-dʿū ṯubūran kaṯīran

Pray not that day for one destruction, but pray for many destructions! 14

今天你們不要哀求一死，你們當哀求多死。

قُلْ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ الْخُلْدِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَاءً وَمَصِيرًا

15a qul
15b ʾa-ḏālika ḫayrun
15c ʾam ǧannatu l-ḫuldi
15c R llatī wuʿida l-muttaqūna
15d kānat la-hum ǧazāʾan wa-maṣīran

Say: Is that (doom) better or the Garden of Immortality which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? It will be their reward and journey’s end. 15

你說：「這是更好的呢？還是應許敬畏者永居其中的樂園更好呢？它是他們所有的報酬和歸宿，

لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَاءُونَ خَالِدِينَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْدًا مَّسْئُولًا

16a la-hum fī-hā mā yašāʾūna
ḫalidīna
16b kāna ʿalā rabbi-ka waʿdan masʾūlan

Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled. 16

他們在樂園中得享受自己所意欲的（幸福）。他們將永居其中，這是可以向你的主要求實踐的諾言。

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ أَأَنتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِي هَٰؤُلَاءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا السَّبِيلَ

17a wa-yawma yaḥšuru-hum wa-mā yaʿbudūna min dūni llāhi
17b fa-yaqūlu
17c ʾa-ʾantum aḍlaltum ʿibād-ī hāʾulāʾi
17d ʾam hum ḍallū s-sabīla

And on the day when He will assemble them and that which they worship instead of Allah and will say: Was it ye who misled these My slaves or did they (themselves) wander from the way? 17

在那日，他要把他們和他們捨真主而崇拜的（偶像）集合起來，然後說：「究竟是你們使我的這些僕人迷誤呢？還是他們自己叛離正路呢？」

قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنبَغِي لَنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَٰكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا الذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا بُورًا

18a qālū
18b J subḥāna-ka
18c mā kāna yanbaġī la-nā
18d ʾan nattaḫiḏa min dūni-ka min ʾawliyāʾa
18e wa-lākin mattaʿta-hum wa-ʾābāʾa-hum
18f ḥattā nasū ḏ-ḏikra wa-kanū qawman būran

They will say: Be Thou Glorified! it was not for us to choose any protecting friends beside thee; but Thou didst give them and their fathers ease till they forgot the warning and became lost folk. 18

他們說：「我們讚頌你超絕萬物，我們不該捨你而敬事任何神靈。但你曾使他們及其祖先享樂，直到他們遺忘了記念，他們原是滅亡的民眾。」

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفًا وَلَا نَصْرًا وَمَن يَظْلِم مِّنكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيرًا

19a fa-qad kaḏḏabū-kum bi-mā taqūlūna
19b fa-mā tastaṭīʿūna ṣarfan wa-lā naṣran
19c wa-man yaẓlim min-kum
19d nuḏiq-hu ʿaḏāban kabīran

Thus they will give you the lie regarding what ye say, then ye can neither avert (the doom) nor obtain help. And whoso among you doeth wrong, We shall make him taste great torment. 19

主說：「他們確已否認你們所說的話，你們不能逃避刑罰，也不能自助。你們中誰是不義的，我要使誰嘗試嚴峻的刑罰。

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا

20a wa-mā ʾarsalnā qabla-ka mina l-mursalīna
20b ʾil-lā ʾinna-hum la-yaʾkulūna ṭ-ṭaʿāma
20c wa-yamšūna fi l-ʾaswāqi
20d wa-ǧaʿalnā baʿḍa-kum li-baʿḍin fitnatan
20e ʾa-taṣbirūna
20f wa-kāna rabbu-ka baṣīran

We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! they verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer. 20

我在你之前所派遣的使者，沒有一個是不吃飯的，沒有一個是不來往於市場之間的。我使你們互相考驗，看看你們能忍耐嗎？你的主是明察的。」

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْا عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا

21a wa-qāla llaḏīna lā yarǧūna liqāʾa-nā
21b law-lā ʾunzila ʿalay-nā l-malāʾikatu
21c ʾaw narā rabba-nā
21d la-qadi stakbarū fī ʾanfusi-him
21e wa-ʿataw ʿutūwan kabīran

And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. 21

不希望與我相會者曾說：「怎麼不使眾天神降臨我們，或者得見我們的主呢？」他們確已妄自尊大，確已大逆不道。

يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا

22a yawma yarawna l-malāʾikata
22b lā bušrā yawmaʾiḏin li-l-muǧrimīna
22c wa-yaqūlūna ḥiǧran maḥǧūran

On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban! 22

他們看見眾天神的日子，犯罪者將沒有好消息，眾天神要對他們說：「（樂園對於你們）是應為嚴禁的。」

وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَّنثُورًا

23a wa-qadimnā ʾilā mā ʿamilū min ʿamalin
23b fa-ǧaʿalnā-hu habāʾan manṯūran

And We shall turn unto the work they did and make it scattered motes. 23

我將處理他們所行的善功，而使它變成飛揚的灰塵。

أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا

24 ʾaṣḥābu l-ǧannati yawmaʾiḏin ḫayrun mustaqarran wa-ʾaḥsanu maqīlan

Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest; 24

在那日，樂園的居民將在一個最優的居住之地，一個最美的休息之所。

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ السَّمَاءُ بِالْغَمَامِ وَنُزِّلَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا

25a wa-yawma tašaqqaqu s-samāʾu bi-l-ġamāmi
25b wa-nuzzila l-malāʾikatu tanzīlan

A day when the heaven with the clouds will be rent asunder and the angels will be sent down, a grand descent. 25

在那日，諸天將與白雲一道破裂，眾天神將奉命莊嚴地降臨。

الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ عَسِيرًا

26a al-mulku yawmaʾiḏini l-ḥaqqu li-r-raḥmāni
26b wa-kāna yawman ʿalā l-kāfirīna ʿasīran

The Sovereignty on that day will be the True (Sovereignty) belonging to the Beneficent One, and it will be a hard day for disbelievers. 26

在那日，真實的國土是屬於至仁主的。那日，對不信道者是一個嚴酷的日子。

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا

27a wa-yawma yaʿaḍḍu ẓ-ẓālimu ʿalā yaday-hi
27b yaqūlu
27c J yā-layta-nī
27d ttaḫaḏtu maʿa r-rasūli sabīlan

On the day when the wrong-doer gnaweth his hands, he will say: Ah, would that I had chosen a way together with the messenger (of Allah)! 27

在那日，不義者一面咬手一面說：「啊！但願我曾與使者採取同一道路。

يَا وَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا

28a J1 yā-waylatā
28a J2 layta-nī
28b lam ʾattaḫiḏ fulānan ḫalīlan

Alas for me! Ah, would that I had never taken such a one for friend! 28

啊！哀哉！但願我沒有以某人為朋友。

لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَنِي وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنسَانِ خَذُولًا

29a la-qad ʾaḍalla-nī ʿani ḏ-ḏikri
29b baʿda ʾiḏ ǧāʾa-nī
29c wa-kāna š-šayṭānu li-l-ʾinsāni ḫaḏūlan

He verily led me astray from the Reminder after it had reached me. Satan was ever man’s deserter in the hour of need. 29

記念既降臨之後，他確已使我違背它。」惡魔向來是遺棄人的。

وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا

30a wa-qāla r-rasūlu
30b V yā-rabb-i
30b ʾinna qawm-ī ttaḫaḏū hāḏā l-qurʾāna mahǧūran

And the messenger saith: O my Lord! Lo! mine own folk make this Qur’an of no account. 30

使者曾說：「我的主啊！我的宗族以這《古蘭經》為棄物。」

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا

31a wa-ka-ḏālika ǧaʿalnā li-kulli nabīyin ʿadūwan mina l-muǧrimīna
31b wa-kafā bi-rabbi-ka hādiyan wa-naṣīran

Even so have We appointed unto every prophet an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper. 31

我這樣使每個先知，都有一些罪人做他的仇敵，你的主足為引導者和援助者。

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلًا

32a wa-qāla llaḏīna kafarū
32b law-lā nuzzila ʿalay-hi l-qurʾānu ǧumlatan wāḥidatan
32c ka-ḏālika
32d li-nuṯabbita bi-hī fuʾāda-ka
32e wa-rattalnā-hu tartīlan

And those who disbelieve say: Why is the Qur’an not revealed unto him all at once? (It is revealed) thus that We may strengthen thy heart therewith; and We have arranged it in right order. 32

不信道者曾說：「怎麼不把全部《古蘭經》一次降示他呢？」我那樣零零星星地降示它以便我憑它來堅定你的心，我逐漸降示它。

وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا

33a wa-lā yaʾtūna-ka bi-maṯalin
33b ʾil-lā ǧiʾnā-ka bi-l-ḥaqqi wa-ʾaḥsana tafsīran

And they bring thee no similitude but We bring thee the Truth (as against it), and better (than their similitude) as argument. 33

他們每向你提出一種非難，我就啟示你真理和更美滿的解釋。

الَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُولَٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

34 P allaḏīna yuḥšarūna ʿalā wuǧūhi-him ʾilā ǧahannama
34 ʾulāʾika šarrun makānan wa-ʾaḍallu sabīlan

Those who will be gathered on their faces unto hell: such are worse in plight and further from the right road. 34

那些被匍匐著集合於火獄者地位更惡劣，是偏離正路更遠的。

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُ أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ وَزِيرًا

35a wa-la-qad ʾātaynā mūsā l-kitāba
35b wa-ǧaʿalnā maʿa-hū ʾaḫā-hu hārūna wazīran

We verily gave Moses the Scripture and placed with him his brother Aaron as henchman. 35

我確已把經典賞賜穆薩，並且任命他的哥哥哈倫做他的助手。

فَقُلْنَا اذْهَبَا إِلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَاهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا

36a fa-qulnā
36b ḏhabā ʾilā l-qawmi
36b R llaḏīna kaḏḏabū bi-ʾāyāti-nā
36c fa-dammarnā-hum tadmīran

Then We said: Go together unto the folk who have denied Our revelations. Then We destroyed them, a complete destruction. 36

我說：「你倆去教化那些否認我的蹟象的民眾。」我終於毀滅了他們。

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ آيَةً وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

37a wa-qawma nūḥin
37b lammā kaḏḏabū r-rusula
37c ʾaġraqnā-hum
37d wa-ǧaʿalnā-hum li-n-nāsi ʾāyatan
37e wa-ʾaʿtadnā li-ẓ-ẓālimīna ʿaḏāban ʾalīman

And Noah’s folk, when they denied the messengers, We drowned them and made of them a portent for mankind. We have prepared a painful doom for evil-doers. 37

努哈的宗族否認使者的時候，我淹死了他們，並且以他們為世人的鑒戒。我已為不義者準備了痛苦的刑罰。

وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا

38 wa-ʿādan wa-ṯamūda wa-ʾaṣḥāba r-rassi wa-qurūnan bayna ḏālika kaṯīran

And (the tribes of) A’ad and Thamud, and the dwellers in Ar-Rass, and many generations in between. 38

阿德人、賽莫德人、蘭斯的居民以及在他們之間的若干世代，

وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْأَمْثَالَ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا

39a P wa-kullan
39a ḍarabnā la-hū l-ʾamṯāla
39b wa-kullan tabbarnā tatbīran

Each (of them) We warned by examples, and each (of them) We brought to utter ruin. 39

我已為每一世代的人闡明過許多譬喻，我毀滅了每一世代的人。

وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرَوْنَهَا بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا

40a wa-la-qad ʾataw ʿalā l-qaryati
40a R llatī ʾumṭirat maṭara s-sawʾi
40b ʾa-fa-lam yakūnū yarawna-hā
40c bal kānū lā yarǧūna nušūran

And indeed they have passed by the township whereon was rained the fatal rain. Can it be that they have not seen it? Nay, but they hope for no resurrection. 40

他們確已經歷那遭惡雨的城市，難道他們沒有看見它嗎？不然！他們不希望復活。

وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ رَسُولًا

41a wa-ʾiḏā raʾaw-ka
41b ʾin yattaḫiḏūna-ka ʾil-lā huzuwan
41c ʾa-hāḏā llaḏī baʿaṯa llāhu rasūlan

"Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?" P: And when they see thee (O Muhammad) they treat thee only as a jest (saying): Is this he whom Allah sendeth as a messenger? 41

當他們見你的時候，只把你當作笑柄，（他們說）：「這就是真主派來當使者的嗎？

إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَا أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

42a ʾin kāda la-yuḍillu-nā ʿan ʾālihati-nā
42b law-lā ʾan ṣabarnā ʿalay-hā
42c wa-sawfa yaʿlamūna
42d ḥīna yarawna l-ʿaḏāba
42e man ʾaḍallu sabīlan

He would have led us far away from our gods if we had not been staunch to them. They will know, when they behold the doom, who is more astray as to the road. 42

要不是我們堅持著要崇拜我們的神靈，那麼，他幾乎使我們偏離他們了。」他們看見刑罰的時候，將要知道誰是更偏離正路的。

أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُ هَوَاهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا

43a ʾa-raʾayta
43b mani ttaḫaḏa ʾilāha-hū hawā-hu
43c ʾa-fa-ʾanta takūnu ʿalay-hi wakīlan

Hast thou seen him who chooseth for his god his own lust? Wouldst thou then be guardian over him? 43

你告訴我吧，以私欲為其神靈者，你能做他的監護者嗎？

أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

44a ʾam taḥsabu
44b ʾanna ʾakṯara-hum yasmaʿūna
44c ʾaw yaʿqilūna
44d ʾin hum ʾil-lā ka-l-ʾanʿāmi
44e bal hum ʾaḍallu sabīlan

Or deemest thou that most of them hear or understand? They are but as the cattle - nay, but they are farther astray? 44

難道你以為他們大半是能聽從或者能了解的人嗎？他們只像牲畜一樣，他們甚至是更迷誤的。

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا

45a ʾa-lam tara ʾilā rabbi-ka
45b kayfa madda ẓ-ẓilla
45c wa-law šāʾa
45d la-ǧaʿala-hū sākinan
45e ṯumma ǧaʿalnā š-šamsa ʿalay-hi dalīlan

Hast thou not seen how thy Lord hath spread the shade - And if He willed He could have made it still - then We have made the sun its pilot; 45

難道你沒有看見你的主怎樣伸展陰影嗎？假若他意欲，他必定使陰影成為靜止的。我以太陽為其標誌，

ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَاهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا

46 ṯumma qabaḍnā-hu ʾilay-nā qabḍan yasīran

Then We withdraw it unto Us, a gradual withdrawal? 46

然後我逐漸地收回陰影。

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُورًا

47a wa-huwa llaḏī ǧaʿala la-kumu l-layla libāsan wa-n-nawma subātan
47b wa-ǧaʿala n-nahāra nušūran

And He it is Who maketh night a covering for you, and sleep repose, and maketh day a resurrection. 47

主以黑夜為你們的衣服，以睡眠供你們安息，以白晝供你們甦醒。

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا

48a wa-huwa llaḏī ʾarsala r-riyāḥa bušran bayna yaday raḥmati-hī
48b wa-ʾanzalnā mina s-samāʾi māʾan ṭahūran

And He it is Who sendeth the winds, glad tidings heralding His mercy, and We send down purifying water from the sky, 48

主在降恩之前，使風先來報喜。我從雲中降下清潔的雨水，

لِّنُحْيِيَ بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَا أَنْعَامًا وَأَنَاسِيَّ كَثِيرًا

49a li-nuḥyiya bi-hī baldatan maytan
49b wa-nusqiya-hū mim-mā ḫalaqnā ʾanʿāman wa-ʾanāsīya kaṯīran

That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give many beasts and men that We have created to drink thereof. 49

以便我借雨水而使已死的大地復活，並用雨水供我所創造的牲畜和人們做飲料。

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَاهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا فَأَبَىٰ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا

50a wa-la-qad ṣarrafnā-hu bayna-hum
50b li-yaḏḏakkarū
50c fa-ʾabā ʾakṯaru n-nāsi ʾil-lā kufūran

And verily We have repeated it among them that they may remember, but most of mankind begrudge aught save ingratitude. 50

我確已把雨水分配在他們之間，以便他們記憶。但他們大半只願忘恩負義。

وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَّذِيرًا

51a wa-law šiʾnā
51b la-baʿaṯnā fī kulli qaryatin naḏīran

If We willed, We could raise up a warner in every village. 51

假若我意欲，我必在每座城市中派遣一個警告者。

فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُم بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا

52a fa-lā tuṭiʿi l-kāfirīna
52b wa-ǧāhid-hum bi-hī ǧihādan kabīran

So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them herewith with a great endeavour. 52

所以你不要順從不信道者，你應當借此《古蘭經》而與他們努力奮鬥。

وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا

53a wa-huwa llaḏī maraǧa l-baḥrayni
53b hāḏā ʿaḏbun furātun
53c wa-hāḏā milḥun ʾuǧāǧun
53d wa-ǧaʿala bayna-humā barzaḫan wa-ḥiǧran mahǧūran

And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them. 53

他就是任兩海自由交流的，這是很甜的淡水，那是很苦的鹹水；他在兩海之間設置屏障和堤防。

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا

54a wa-huwa llaḏī ḫalaqa mina l-māʾi bašaran
54b fa-ǧaʿala-hū nasaban wa-ṣihran
54c wa-kāna rabbu-ka qadīran

And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful. 54

他就是用精水創造人，使人成為血族和姻親的。你的主是全能的。

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا

55a wa-yaʿbudūna min dūni llāhi mā lā yanfaʿu-hum wa-lā yaḍurru-hum
55b wa-kāna l-kāfiru ʿalā rabbi-hī ẓahīran

Yet they worship instead of Allah that which can neither benefit them nor hurt them. The disbeliever was ever a partisan against his Lord. 55

他們捨真主而崇拜那些對他們既無福又無禍的東西，不信道者是協助他人以反抗自己的主的。

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا

56 wa-mā ʾarsalnā-ka ʾil-lā mubašširan wa-naḏīran

And We have sent thee (O Muhammad) only as a bearer of good tidings and a warner. 56

我只派遣你為報喜者和警告者。

قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَاءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا

57a qul
57b mā ʾasʾalu-kum ʿalay-hi min ʾaǧrin
57c ʾil-lā man šāʾa
57d ʾan yattaḫiḏa ʾilā rabbi-hī sabīlan

Say: I ask of you no reward for this, save that whoso will may choose a way unto his Lord. 57

你說：「我對於完成這項使命，不向你們索取任何報酬，但望有志者能由此大道而達到其主宰。」

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا

58a wa-tawakkal ʿalā l-ḥayyi
58a R llaḏī lā yamūtu
58b wa-sabbiḥ bi-ḥamdi-hī
58c wa-kafā bi-hī bi-ḏunūbi ʿibādi-hī ḫabīran

And trust thou in the Living One Who dieth not, and hymn His praise. He sufficeth as the Knower of His bondmen’s sins, 58

你應當信任永生不滅的主，你應當讚頌他超絕萬物。他足以徹知他的罪過。

الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ الرَّحْمَٰنُ فَاسْأَلْ بِهِ خَبِيرًا

59a (58R) allaḏī ḫalaqa s-samāwāti wa-l-ʾarḍa wa-mā bayna-humā fī sittati ʾayyāmin
59b ṯumma stawā ʿalā l-ʿarši r-raḥmānu
59c fa-sʾal bi-hī ḫabīran

Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then He mounted the Throne. The Beneficent! Ask anyone informed concerning Him! 59

在六日內創造天地萬物，然後升上寶座的，是至仁主。你應當以他（的德性）請教精明者。

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا وَمَا الرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا

60a wa-ʾiḏā qīla la-humu
60b sǧudū li-r-raḥmāni
60c qālū
60d wa-mā r-raḥmānu
60e ʾa-nasǧudu li-mā taʾmuru-nā
60f wa-zāda-hum nufūran

And when it is said unto them: Prostrate to the Beneficent! they say: And what is the Beneficent? Are we to prostrate to whatever thou (Muhammad) biddest us? And it increaseth aversion in them. 60

如果有人對他們說：「你們應當為至仁主而叩頭。」他們就說：「至仁主是甚麼？難道我們因奉你的命令而叩頭嗎？」那使他們更加反感。※

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُّنِيرًا

61 tabāraka llaḏī ǧaʿala fi s-samāʾi burūǧan
wa-ǧaʿala fī-hā sirāǧan wa-qamaran munīran

Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light! 61

聖潔哉真主！他把許多宮造在天上，又造明燈和燦爛的月亮。

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا

62a wa-huwa llaḏī ǧaʿala l-layla wa-n-nahāra ḫilfatan
62b li-man ʾarāda
62c ʾan yaḏḏakkara
62d ʾaw ʾarāda šukūran

And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness. 62

他就是為欲覺悟或欲感謝者，而使晝夜更迭的。

وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا

63a wa-ʿibādu r-raḥmāni llaḏīna yamšūna ʿalā l-ʾarḍi hawnan
63b wa-ʾiḏā ḫāṭaba-humu l-ǧāhilūna
63c qālū salāman

"Peace!"; P: The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace; 63

至仁主的僕人是在大地上謙遜而行的；當愚人以惡言傷害他們的時候，他們說：「祝你們平安。」

وَالَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَامًا

64 wa-llaḏina yabītūna li-rabbi-him suǧǧadan wa-qiyāman

And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing, 64

他們為他們的主而通宵叩頭和肅立；

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا

65a wa-llaḏīna yaqūlūna
65b V rabba-nā
65b ṣrif ʿan-nā ʿaḏāba ǧahannama
65c ʾinna ʿaḏāba-hā kāna ġarāman

And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish; 65

他們常說：「我們的主啊！求你為我們避開火獄的刑罰。火獄的刑罰確是令人非常痛苦的，

إِنَّهَا سَاءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا

66 ʾinna-hā sāʾat mustaqarran wa-muqāman

Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66

確是惡劣的住處和居所。」

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًا

67a wa-llaḏīna
67b ʾiḏā ʾanfaqū
67a lam yusrifū
67c wa-lam yaqturū
67d wa-kāna bayna ḏālika qawāman

And those who, when they spend, are neither prodigal nor grudging; and there is ever a firm station between the two; 67

他們用錢的時候，既不揮霍，又不吝嗇，謹守中道；

وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا

68a wa-llaḏīna lā yadʿūna maʿa llāhi ʾilāhan ʾāḫara
wa-lā yaqtulūna n-nafsa
68a R llatī ḥarrama llāhu ʾil-lā bi-l-ḥaqqi
68a wa-lā yaznūna
68b wa-man yafʿal ḏālika
68c yalqā ʾaṯāman

And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty; 68

他們只祈禱真主，不祈禱別的神靈；他們不違背真主的禁令而殺人，除非由於償命；他們也不通奸。誰犯此類（罪惡），誰遭懲罰；

يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا

69a yuḍāʿaf la-hū l-ʿaḏābu yawma l-qiyāmati
69b wa-yaḫlud fī-hī muhānan

The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; 69

復活日要受加倍的刑罰，而受辱地永居其中。

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

70a ʾil-lā man tāba wa-ʾāmana wa-ʿamila ʿamalan ṣāliḥan
70b P fa-ʾulāʾika
70b yubaddilu llāhu sayyiʾāti-him ḥasanātin
70c wa-kāna llāhu ġafūran raḥīman

Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 70

惟悔過而且信道並行善功者，真主將勾銷其罪行，而錄取其善功。真主是至赦的，是至慈的。

وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتَابًا

71a wa-man tāba wa-ʿamila ṣāliḥan
71b fa-ʾinna-hū yatūbu ʾilā llāhi matāban

And whosoever repenteth and doeth good, he verily repenteth toward Allah with true repentance - 71

悔過而且行善者，確已轉向真主。

وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِاللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا كِرَامًا

72a wa-llaḏīna lā yašhadūna z-zūra
72b wa-ʾiḏā marrū bi-l-laġwi
72c marrū kirāman

And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity. 72

他們不做假見証，他們聽到惡言的時候謙遜地走開。

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا

73a wa-llaḏīna
73b ʾiḏā ḏukkirū bi-ʾāyāti rabbi-him
73a lam yaḫirrū ʿalay-hā ṣumman wa-ʿumyānan

And those who, when they are reminded of the revelations of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat. 73

有人以他們的主的蹟象勸戒他們的時候，聽講者並不裝聾作瞎地在打鼾。

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

74a wa-llaḏīna yaqūlūna
74b V rabba-nā
74b hab la-nā min ʾazwāǧi-nā wa-ḏurrīyāti-nā qurrata ʾaʿyunin
74c wa-ǧʿalnā li-l-muttaqīna ʾimāman

And who say: Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil). 74

他們說：「我們的主啊！求你以我們的妻子兒女為我們的安慰，求你以我們為敬畏者的典範。」

أُولَٰئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَامًا

75a ʾulāʾika yuǧzawna l-ġurfata bi-mā ṣabarū
75b wa-yulaqqawna fī-hā taḥīyatan wa-salāman

They will be awarded the high place forasmuch as they were steadfast, and they will meet therein with welcome and the ward of peace, 75

這等人能堅忍，因此將受高級的報酬，他們在樂園裡，將聽見祝壽和祝安。

خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا

76a ḫālidīna fī-hā
76b ḥasunat mustaqarran wa-muqāman

Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! 76

他們將永居其中。樂園是優美的住處和居所。

قُلْ مَا يَعْبَأُ بِكُمْ رَبِّي لَوْلَا دُعَاؤُكُمْ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًا

77a qul
77b mā yaʿbaʾu bi-kum rabb-ī
77c law-lā duʿāʾu-kum
77d fa-qad kaḏḏabtum
77e fa-sawfa yakūnu lizāman

Say (O Muhammad, unto the disbelievers): My Lord would not concern Himself with you but for your prayer. But now ye have denied (the Truth), therefor there will be judgment. 77

你說：「假若沒有你們的祈禱，我的主並不關切你們，但你們既已否認真理，你們將來要受無法解脫的刑罰。」
