▪ Fraenkel1886: The variation tūt ~ tūṯ is a clear indication of an Aram origin. Nişanyan, too, thinks the source is Aram Syr tūṯā.
▪ CAD: Akk tuttu ‘mulberry tree’ is a foreign word (Nişanyan: from Aram).
▪ Klein1987: pBiblHbr tūṯ ‘mulberry’, probably from Aram tūṯā, whence also Ar tūt

1. The first part, ahu ‘gazelle’ is from Pers āhū, from oPers āhūk ‘id.’ = Sogd āsūk ‘id.’ = Av āsu ‘quick, fast’. First attested 1330 in ʕĀşıḳ Paşa, Ġarīb-nāme : dürr ṣādefde didiler āhūda nāf / gönül erenlerdedir cahilde lāf – Nişanyan_11Aug2015.
