In contrast, Pers šanār ‘disgrace, infamy; any shameful transaction’ is marked as an Arabism in Steingass1892. – Cf. also †ṣanbar, †ṣunbūr ‘mean, ignoble’ (= †[v3] in root entry ↗ṢNBR) and/or †ṣinnawr ‘niggardly man, of evil disposition’ (= [v5] in root entry ↗ṢNR). Could †ṣinnawr or †ṣanbar be based on a (non-attested) Pers *šanār-bar ‘bearer\carrier of disgrace’?
