▪ SED I #68 reconstructs Sem *g˅bh(-at)- ‘forehead, front’, adding that this latter is very likely related to Sem *gabb(-at)- ‘eyebrow, eye-pit, front’ (#66) (see ↗ǦBː(ǦBB)) (with ‑h‑ as a triconsonantizer?) and comparable as a variant root with h vs. ḫ to, or probably contaminated with, *gbḫ ‘to be bald (on the forehead)’ (see Verbal Roots, #15).
