1. Leslau’s observation that the EthSem *gab »is probably independent of *gnb in other Sem languages« (he quotes a few similar Agaw forms) is not convincing 2. Cf. also ʔəngəb ‘anus, buttocks’ (< *ʔ˅-g˅nb- with the ʔ˅- prefix and metathesis or *gəb with ʔən‑ prefixed) (cf. also ǧäm, suff. ǧämma, ǧämba ‘side’ (an Arabism?)
