Orel&Stolbova1994#354 reconstructs Sem *bayṣ́‑ ‘egg’ < AfrAs *buyać̣‑ ‘egg’ (with regular *a < AfrAs *u after a labial), assuming WCh *buyać̣‑ ‘egg’ (which would have preserved the original AfrAs form).
