5.LXXII Mitra-Varuṇa 
ā́ mitré váruṇe vayáṃ gīrbhír juhumo atrivát |
ní barhíṣi sadataṃ sómapītaye || 
1 To Varuṇa and Mitra we offer with songs, as Atri did. Sit on the sacred grass to drink the Soma juice. 
vraténa stho dhruvákṣemā dhármaṇā yātayájjanā |
ní barhíṣi sadataṃ sómapītaye || 
2 By Ordinance and Law ye dwell in peace secure, bestirring men. Sit on the sacred grass to drink the Soma juice. 
mitráś ca no váruṇaś ca juṣétāṃ yajñám iṣṭáye |
ní barhíṣi sadatāṃ sómapītaye || 
3 May Varuṇa and Mitra, for our help, accept the sacrifice. Sit on the sacred grass to drink the Soma juice.
